SELENA GOMEZ ADDED TO LILITH TOUR

Selena Gomez has been added the line-up for the 2010 Lilith Tour.   Six new dates have been added to the tour including shows in Edmonton, Vancouver, San Diego, Los Angeles and Denver.   The festival will kick off on Sunday, June 27th at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA GOES BIONIC

Christina Aguilera has announced her fourth studio album, Bionic, will be released this summer.   The first single is “Not Myself Tonight,” produced by Polow Da Don.   The song will premiere on ChristinaAguilera.com at 6 PM Eastern on Tuesday, will be released to radio on April 5th and will be available for download on iTunes on April 13th.   Bionic features songs co-written by Aguilera and collaborations with Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and many others. The album also boasts Aguilera teaming up with Linda Perry again — the two scored a huge hit with “Beautiful,” off Christina’s 2002 album Stripped.   They collaborated on another ballad titled “Lift Me Up.”    

KE$HA ON SNL

Ke$ha will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on April 17th.   Ryan Phillippe will be the host that episode.   Ke$ha’s debut album, Animal, has sold over 491-thousand copies since its release just under three months ago.   The album has spawned the number one single “Tik Tok,” and the hit “Blah Blah Blah,” her collaboration with 3Oh3!  

GAGA’S BEEN VIEWED MORE THAN A BILLION TIMES

Lady Gaga has made history yet again.   According to Mashable.com, the pop star has become the first artist to get her music videos viewed online over one-billion times.   The Web site reports that the combined views for three of Gaga’s videos — “Just Dance,” “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance” — all add up for her to be the inaugural member of the billion-views club.   Learn more at Mashable.com.

LADY GAGA WON’T LET HER FANS DOWN

It’s no secret that Lady Gaga is dedicated to performing, but would she really rather “die” than let her fans down?   Apparently so, because in an interview with an Australian radio station, the pop star said that she almost passed out on stage multiple times during a show in New Zealand due to jet-lag, but that said she would “rather die on stage than walk off.”

LA ROUX ANNOUNCES SUMMER TOUR

La Roux are making waves stateside as their first single, “Bulletproof,” is climbing the charts.   The band kicks off their spring tour on April 12th in Portland, Oregon and wind down on Seattle, Washington on April 19th with a stop at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 16th.   La Roux also announced a summer headlining tour this summer before they join the highly anticipated Lilith Fair in July. The summer outing starts May 30th in Houston and wraps at Terminal 5 in New York City on June 7th.

BIEBER AND KINGSTON’S “EENIE MEENIE”

Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston have hooked up on the song “Eenie Meenie,” which is out now.   The two are prepping to shoot a video for the track soon.   Kingston took to his Twitter page to announce the news writing, “Me and Justin are shooting the video to ‘Eenie Meenie’ in a couple of days Pow! Pow! Pow!”

DAVID GUETTA TO DEBUT NEW SONG TONIGHT

GRAMMY Award-winning DJ/Producer David Guetta will premiere his latest single, “Gettin’ Over You” with Chris Willis and LMFAO, live tonight during his set at Ultra at the Winter Music Conference.   The new single is an updated production of the album track “Gettin’ Over” featuring Chris Willis and has been revamped for the global dance floors and airwaves with the addition of vocals from Fergie and LMFAO. It will be released digitally on April 13th by its inclusion on the digital versions of Guetta’s GRAMMY-nominated album One Love. MANDY MOORE TALKS WATER

Mandy Moore was in Washington D-C earlier in the week for World Water Day.   According to PerezHilton.com, the singer/actress spoke about how important it is to have clean water all over the world.   Moore said, “Here on Capitol Hill, it’s hard for us to imagine what it’s like to face illness every time we’re thirsty but it’s a reality in Southern Sudan. DRAKE HEADLINES BMI AWARDS THIS YEAR

KERI HILSON’S ALBUM INSPIRED BY AFRICA

According to MTV News, Keri Hilson’s upcoming sophomore album has reportedly been heavily influenced by Africa. The “Slow Dance” singer told MTV, “Everywhere I travel, I get music from that region of the world. I’ve been to Nigeria, I’ve been to South Africa, three cites in Africa [in all]. I gather music from these regions, and African music is very drum-heavy. It was very inspiring.” Keri added, “I’m definitely going to be using some of that inspiration.” No word on when her next studio effort will be ready, however she is looking to receive contributions from Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Kanye West and to even potentially record with Ryan Leslie.

LUDACRIS HELPS GOVERNMENT PROMOTE CENSUS

The U-S government is tapping into Ludacris’ universal star power and has asked the rapper to help promote the campaign for the 2010 Census. According to a press release, Luda will bring awareness to what’s being dubbed Luda on the Block — which encourages people to fill out the Census questionnaire. The “How Low” emcee said in a statement, “I plan to knock on doors in various neighborhoods around this country to try and dispel any myths about the Census. It’s important that we all stand up and be counted so we can help create potential financial opportunities for our dying communities.”

NE-YO PENS FOR RIHANNA, HUDSON AND KELLY

According to Vibe.com, Ne-Yo is writing and producing for new projects from many of today’s top artists. The “Closer” singer told Vibe, “I have Jennifer Hudson on the way; I’m doing quite a few songs with her. I’m doing some more stuff for Rihanna real soon. Then there’s Nicole Scherzinger and there’s this group out of the U-K called the Noisettes who are really good. I also did some stuff for Justin Bieber and Kelly Rowland.” In addition, he is also developing his own artists and working on his upcoming album. He concluded by stating, “I’m really on my grind.”

SAVING ABEL TO RELEASE MISS AMERICA THIS SUMMER

Saving Abel is coming out with a new album on June 8th. The record is titled Miss America and is the follow-up to their self-titled debut, which was released in 2008. The first single is a track called “Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood)” and it’ll be out on April 8th via download. Guitarist Scott Bartlett spoke about the album saying, “We are creating the new Southern Rock. Not to say we are pioneers but it’s VERY exciting.”  

MORE ON M.I.A. FESTIVAL APPEARANCES

Fans of M.I.A. who wanna know more about her L-A and New York summer shows should head to Hardfest.com now. Tickets are on sale at the site and are going for 45 bucks each. The rapper is expected to play some tracks off her upcoming new album at the shows, but no word as to when the record is coming out.  

M.I.A. WANTS TO BE REAL

This summer, M.I.A. will release her highly anticipated new album. She spoke to Rolling Stone about the disc saying, “I just want to be real, whatever that is.” She added, “Even if my songs are shit, and if I have flaws and if I’m confused, if I offend people or if I don’t offend people, I might try to work it out in public, just so you know that it’s OK to think, that thinking’s not a dirty word.”

WE ARE THE FALLEN’S LIVE DBUT

We Are The Fallen made their live debut this week in England. The band, which is made of former Evanescence members Ben Moody, John LeCompt and Rocky Gray as well as American Idol finalist Carly Smithson, performed tracks off their upcoming debut album, Tear The World Down, and covered Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and Iron Maiden’s “Flight of Icarus” during the set. NOEL GALLAGHER ON ATTACK

At a recent hearing in the case of the man who attacked Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher onstage in Toronto in 2008, a victim’s impact statement was read. According to Billboard, Gallagher said he felt like he’d been “hit by a bus” when 48-year-old David Sullivan attacked him. Gallagher, who had three broken and dislodged ribs from the incident, explained he suffered “extreme pain” and is still recovering from the attack. Sullivan faces six to eight months in jail and a reported two-million dollar civil suit.
