SYLVIA MCNAIR LIVE IN INDIANA
Two-time Grammy Award winner Sylvia McNair will perform with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for the 25th Anniversary of the annual Festival of Carols holiday performances in December 2015. Now based in Bloomington, Ind., where she serves on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Music, her alma mater, the beloved soprano has performed everywhere from the Met to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, from the New York Philharmonic to New York cabarets.
Hailed as “a radiant, poised beauty,” McNair has also performed at The Vatican for Pope John Paul II and for the U.S. Supreme Court by special request of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
Tickets for the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir’s annual holiday performances of Festival of Carols are on sale now, following a sell-out run of four shows during the 2014 and 2013 holiday seasons. Four much-anticipated performances welcome the holiday season at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis (Sunday, December 6 at 7 p.m.) and the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel (Friday, December 18 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 20 at 3 p.m.).

High Up is excited to share their new song “You Can’t Give Up On Me” the newest track from the band’s debut single out October 9. In “No Man’s Land,” the Runner sees his buddies die, and, as the video progresses, seems to be walking more and more in a daze. Billy says, “You get the idea that he’s the only guy who walked away from the battle.”
Billy used three distinct sources for footage in “No Man’s Land”: 1) archival footage from World War I, 2) a cameraman taping him up-close and facing front in a brightly-lit room, 3) modern day footage of a tall and powerful looking young man being the runner. “That is David Hussey,” explains Billy. “He’s in the prog band XNA which I produced/recorded. We shot the footage in the desert behind my house.”

New York based Dark Alternative Rock band Echo Black has released their debut music video “Burn Another Day” (featuring Davey Suicide) which originally premiered with REVOLVER Magazine and was directed by Nathan Crooker. Brian Fallon has announced plans for his hugely anticipated debut solo album. Painkillers is set to arrive in early 2016 via Island Records in the United States and EMI records in the United Kingdom.
Painkillers will mark the first solo album from Fallon, known far and wide as singer/guitarist of the one and only Gaslight Anthem, as well as such acclaimed outfits as The Horrible Crowes and Molly & The Zombies. The album will be recorded later this year in Nashville, TN, in collaboration with Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Frank Turner, Keith Urban).

It’s not too often that industrial bands release live albums, let alone full blown live videos. But Freakangel is one of those exceptions. Recorded during their extended “The Ones To Fall” tour last winter, they have just released the 11-track counting live download album “The Show Of Violence” via Bandcamp and several other download stores.
The live album acts as a closing chapter for the band’s 3 first albums (plus multiple EP releases) before returning with a next full length studio album in 2016. Unlike many other industrial bands, what you get live from Freakangel is quite different from the studio versions. “The Show Of Violence” therefor gives you the opportunity to rediscover the band’s discography in alternative live versions.

The 10th Anniversary of Stagecoach Music Festival is set for Friday, April 29, Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. The Doobie Brothers will appear on Sunday, May 1 with Luke Bryan and Little Big Town. Other artists announced for the festival include: Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Chris Young, The Band Perry, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Joe Nichols, Eric Paslay, A Thousand Horses, John Fogerty, and Emmylou Harris.
The festival will be fun for The Doobie Brothers, who will be able to catch up artists who both performed with them on Southbound, their Sony Nashville album released last year. This will mark the first appearance at Stagecoach for The Doobie Brothers, who recently performed an epic jam with the String Cheese Incident at Lock’n Festival, in Virginia.
