Five gentlemen meet in a basement studio to record an album. Some of them have never met, knowing each other through reputation alone. Others are longtime friends and collaborators. A band is formed, an album is recorded. Meet Acquaintances, a new band consisting of music scene veterans Jered Gummere (The Ponys, Bare Mutants), Justin Sinkovich (Atombombpocketknife, Poison Arrows), Stephen Schmidt (Chino Horde, Thumbnail), Patrick Morris (Don Caballero), and Chris Wilson (Ted Leo and the Pharmacists). Their new self-titled LP will be released on August 6th via Epitonic/File 13 Records.
