To the outsider it may seem that Hey Harriett appeared out of nowhere but those closer to the project know that this has been a long time coming for front woman and singer/songwriter Georgy Rochow.
RODES ROLLINS RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘BOOM POW’
Poet and songstress Rodes Rollins is back with her new single ‘Boom Pow’ which caters to her Americana-influenced roots prominent on her Young Adult EP while also experimenting with West African-inspired percussion and rhythms. The single, produced by Alex Goose (Weezer, Kevin Gates) and featuring Kane Ritchotte of Portugal, The Man on drums.

According to The Vega Bodegas main vocalist Jimmy Watkins (ex-Future Of The Left and Strange News From Another Star) the bands debut album is “about aliens, love, monkeys, earthquakes and food.”

Steve Vai Announces “The Big Mama Jama Jam-A-Thon” – 52 Hours Of Consecutive Music (Sept 28-30th)
Steve Vai has announced he will host and serve as the musical director for “The Big Mama Jama Jam-a-thon” — an open, improvisational music/art event where the music doesn’t stop for 52 hours — to be held Sept. 28-30, 2018 at Musicians Institute’s brand new venue, LiveHouse, in Los Angeles, California. The jam-a-thon will mark the public grand opening of LiveHouse. 100% of the profits raised will benefit Extraordinary Families, a leading nonprofit foster family, adoption agency in the Los Angeles area dedicated to improving the daily lives of children and youths in foster care.
Kenny Chesney’s SONGS FOR THE SAINTS #1 Selling Album Debut
When Kenny Chesney made Songs for the Saints, he wasn’t thinking about chart positions, country radio or how these songs would play in his live shows—he was worried about the people of the Virgin Islands. Riding out a Category 5 hurricane without the same kinds of safety nets people on mainland take for granted, he understood the peril, and he channeled it into “Song for the Saints,” then “Love for Love City.”

Fruition Announce New EP ‘Fire’
On August 17, Fruition will release a new EP Fire. A fan favorite among their live shows, the band have shared a video for their scorching live version of the title track, which they performed at Red Rocks last year. They’ll return to Red Rocks August 18 for a show with Railroad Earth, and hit the road for an extensive fall tour to support the new EP.
Young Readers Overcomes Cancer and Delivers Vulnerable Indie Folk Album
The album, Migrator, was written and recorded when Young Readers’ Jordan Herrera was experiencing a musical high where everything seemed to be going his way. Yet, there’s a rawness and subtle sorrow on the album foreshadowing the looming darkness that fell on his life for the next three years. It closed in through setbacks on the album’s release and the ultimate blow of Herrera’s unexpected cancer diagnosis in the midst of it all. The re-release of the single “Dancing” and Migrator’s vinyl release, out August 24, is a cathartic sigh as Herrera finds his way back on the path he set out on in the first place.

Detroit duo Serration Pulse are excited to announce their new self-titled EP, due August 10, 2018 via Third Man Records. To ring in the announcement, the duo has shared the video for “The Beach” in a premiere via BrooklynVegan, who said “…if you like ADULT., you’ll probably like Serration Pulse too. “The Beach” pulls from a similar bank of ’80s coldwave/darkwave/goth/etc influences, and Kayla’s dark, breathy vocals fit the vibe perfectly. The eerie, black and blue video fits perfectly as well.”
