Derek Stroker’s new release, “Love and Colour” is a new kind of vibe. It awakens your senses and makes you feel like you have an extra sense no one else does. It tickles your ears with such style and grace and sets a calm sobering mood.
Derek’s voice is smooth and engaging. He has this debonair sound that grabs your attention and makes you listen. You hear the stories behind each song and you feel physically every emotion that he sings. The song, “Why We Fall In Love” is a perfect example. I feel his pain. Lyrically it is well written and clever. I am not sure what state his heart is in but he certainly has a knack for writing great songs. Then you get to the song, “Last Dance”. He has out done himself on this one, from the lyrics to the music and production it is precise and simply beautiful. Each and every song has its own feel but yet has Derek’s signature.
I could go through each tune and give you a list of words to describe the sensuality and glitter of each one, but why? It is best to listen for yourself. I encourage you to sit down with each melody and really analyze it and appreciate each note that disperses into the air. As it disappears it doesn’t really go away it wraps around your brain as you sing along.

As he says in one of his songs, “Let the music take control and penetrate your soul, let it become all you know.” It does not take any effort on your part all you have to do is listen and Derek does the rest for you.
