Following the release of his fourth studio album on Friday, Quinn XCII has unveiled a brand new visual for his favorite album track “Hey, Goodbye.” The one-take video was shot in the gorgeous seaside town of Newport, Rhode Island where the album was created – watch HERE.
Vision of Disorder’s Tim Williams Returns With His New Band, Rollin’ Coffin
Rollin’ Coffin is the brainchild of former Bloodsimple & Vision of Disorder frontman Tim Williams. The new band is poised to release their debut single, “Runaway”, on April 2nd through Static Era Records and produced by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Such Gold).
“Runaway” comes at you with a driving sound that is very different from the aggressive metal stylings that you would expect from Williams. The band pays homage to its early influences by using a blend of classic and indie garage rock, that evokes a 90’s grunge feel with a modern alternative rock sound. Don’t get it twisted, though. Rollin’ Coffin are doing their own thing and have found a contemporary sound that’s all it’s own.

Smile – Björn Yttling & Joakim Åhlund – Return After 8 Years with New Music!
Smile – the pet project of Björn Yttling and Joakim Åhlund – has returned with their first new music in more than eight years, releasing new single “Kylie” b/w “Different Kind of Fog” on March 5th via Chimp Limbs/Ingrid. “Kylie” is a beautifully dreamy, cinematic track reminiscent of Ennio Morricone’s soundtracks, but also with a driving beat that makes you think of the groovier side of krautrock acts such as Can or Neu! It’s also the first release from the upcoming new Smile album, due out late spring of 2021.

Young Dolph & Key Glock Get Frosty in the Video for “Aspen”
Young Dolph and Key Glock are a dynamic duo, one-upping each other’s flexes with humor and panache. Taking a luxurious vacation to the Rocky Mountains, the Paper Route EMPIRE rappers share “Aspen,” their new music video. Produced by Bandplay, who makes a cameo in the video, “Aspen” is a bright and soulful single about ballin’ out in Colorado’s ritziest mountain town. Directed by Dolph himself, using the Paper Route Pictures moniker, the “Aspen” video deposits the Memphis natives in a spacious slope-side chalet with some beautiful women for company. The two rappers partake in a variety of winter weather activities, from snowball fights, to snowmobiling, and snowboarding (of course Dolph has Moncler ski goggles). Key Glock even makes a trip to a petting zoo to interact with his fellow goats. “Aspen” is the first video from the upcoming Dum and Dummer 2.
REALITY GREY Release Video “Multidimensional Hollow” Off “Beneath This Crown”
The current form of Reality Grey is melodic, catchy, and aggressive. With the first single from “Beneath This Crown” they are reintroducing themselves to the world with the most progressive song on the album. “Multidimensional Hollow”, complete with a lyric video available on YouTube, is very melodic and complex featuring fast guitar solos and an epic finale. Brooklyn’s Phantom Wave Share Video “Depth Charge” in Celebration of Next Week’s LP Release
Phantom Wave lives in the difference between propulsive drive and radiant fluidity. Taking inspirations from indie rock, shoegaze and dream pop, the band focuses on creating dynamic songs with an altered organic feel. Phantom Wave is comprised of core members Ian Carpenter (guitar, vocals) and Rachel Fischer (drums). Formed in 2017 through a meeting in Brooklyn, NY the two blended musical pasts through a chain of fuzz, reverb and delay. The band was gigging regularly in the NYC/Brooklyn area prior to the pandemic, and recently recorded their first LP titled Wilds. While releasing this album they continue to work on writing new music, wearing face masks and eating burritos (not at the same time).

Today, French Korean singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, spill tab, aka Claire Chicha, releases her new song “PISTOLWHIP” which arrives with an accompanying music video, featuring spill tab riding a dirt bike for the first time. Out via Arista Records, the song inserts dreamy vocals into a sparse “piano with a Westworld vibe.” On the track, she plays bass and helped with vocal production alongside chief collaborator and production partner, David Marinelli. Nick Waterhouse takes the color blue as his hue of choice as he takes a spiritual look to the past on new album Promenade Blue due out April 9 on Innovative Leisure. It’s not Gatsby’s New York in the 1920s, it’s Waterhouse’s California in the 2020s.
