“Fever” is a snapshot into the life of Aaron and I. We’re not only in a band together but also a relationship which is what “Back to the Wall” is about. These songs are about our life together, and the whole range of emotions that come with it. When we were working on these songs, we were both coming out of a darker period of our lives, coming into our own and finding more emotional freedom. Essentially you can ride the rollercoaster with us in this EP. I hope people feel a sense of lightness by the time they listen to “Erased,” the final track. Musically speaking, we blended pop beats with retro rock textures. We wanted a sound that was energetic and uplifting and also emotive.
