This is the first thing we’ve released since the bus accident and it’s ironic that even though we filmed this early last year, the single is appropriately named ‘The Return.’ It marks our comeback and speaks to the adversity that we’ve pushed through on what has now become several unfortunate occasions, so we are very proud of it. We worked so hard on this video and it is the most impressive thing we’ve done to date. We can’t wait until you see it!” says the band’s frontman Robert Cosgrove.

Billy Dean releases new video “The Rest of It’s Mine”

“We had just played a show in Key West together. On my way driving back from Key West, I saw so many empty-nesters in their RVs. It felt like they were just beginning to live life on their own terms. I told Paul I wanted to write an anthem for them and he sent me a text of a verse and chorus called ‘The Rest of It’s Mine.’ So I pulled over to the side of the road and I sent back a second verse. By the time I got home, we had a song. I sent the song to my producer, Brent Rader. He has a studio in Nashville where Paul and I recorded it the following week. We never sat down in a room together. That’s what it’s like working with a Hall of Fame songwriter. We seem to work really well together. It just clicked and we had so much fun shooting this video in Key West. That’s a good place to go to escape and that’s what we wanted people to feel when they heard this song.”

“FUN” is a thrilling and visceral return from Biig Piig, again exploring a new subculture of sounds (D&B, Jungle) with a curiosity and honesty that’s still quintessentially Biig Piig’s own. Like much of her hugely eclectic catalogue to date, beneath the apparent “FUN” is a darker, more introspective story “about bickering with a partner, and being sick of it,” says Biig Piig. “‘FUN’ is also about how you can bring out a childish part of each other when no one else really gets that part of you, the good and the bad. No one gets under your skin or pushes your buttons like the ones you love the most.”

Rapport (Maddy from Moon King, Born Ruffians) “Video Star” – out today

Speaking on the track, frontwoman Maddy Wilde says: “Whenever I find myself compulsively opening social media apps again and again on my phone, I’ll do a delete. Getting rid of these apps has always been the best way to combat the addiction. But then I find myself needing them again to promote a show or a new song etc. And the cycle continues. Video Star toys with the idea of ‘turning off’, which is easier said than done.”
