Kate Havnevik announces ‘The Lightship Conversations’
Ahead of the release of her fourth album Lightship on January 21st via Continentica Records, Norwegian experimental artist, composer, producer and musician Kate Havnevik has released the first episode of The Lightship Conversations, a descriptive interview series about specific tracks on the new album.

US rock guitarist Gia G has released her new instrumental single taken from her forthcoming EP of the same name, Cosmic Wave. Along with the track comes an official video featuring the lady herself providing the licks.
The press release states; “Cosmic Wave is a groovy upbeat instrumental track with great harmonics, whammy bar insanity, technical pull-offs, bends, legato playing using jazzy scales and modes while featuring some intense ‘tapping’ and more of Gia G’s signature ‘Tap Harmonic Technique’ she first became known for on her video and single hit The Chase in 2013.”

“This is a very very personal song lyrically. There was a time when I couldn’t even listen to the song without getting emotional. I think many people can appreciate the lyrics and reflect them to their own life. Musically there’s a lot going on. Lots of cool melodies and riffs and A LOT of solos. Many parts in this song, including the solos, were played and recorded at the hour of the wolf.
