Don Q Rolls the Dice in New “Slander” Video

Since returning to music after a three-year hiatus, BX’s own Don Q has yet to show any signs of slowing down. In just the past two months, the Highbridge the Label rapper has blessed listeners with the release of his latest solo project, Double Or Nothing, as well as five music videos, including “Slander,” which receives new visuals today. On the track, Don shows why he considers his misguided opposition as little more than a novelty while he focuses on maintaining his New York rap throne.

Wild Pink share ode to John Ross’ home state of “Florida”

In February Wild Pink released their LP, A Billion Little Lights, via Royal Mountain Records. The band’s third full length, the album has been the most critically acclaimed of their career, and among the most critically beloved releases of 2021, with Stereogum calling it “one of the prettiest rock records of the past decade,” while NY Mag/Vulture making the early declaration that it’s “the best rock record of 2021,” alongside further praise fro outlets like Pitchfork, NPR, Billboard, MTV, Uproxx, FADER, The AV Club and many others. Today, Wild Pink are sharing a new single called “Florida”, a song about leader John Ross’ home state. Perhaps the only song of 2021 to reference a Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen location, the song serves as a bookend to both a successful year for the band and, as Ross explains, to the A Billion Little Lights-period of Wild Pink.

At The Gates Release New Music Video for “Cosmic Pessimism”

“’Cosmic Pessimism’ is one of the central tracks of the new record. Not only drawing the title from the Eugene Thacker book of the same name, the lyrics actually are written by Eugene himself. This is something I am very proud of, the collaboration with one of the central figures when it comes to modern day pessimism and the idea of how it correlates to cosmic horror. It is a suffocatingly strict and repetitive song, and it displays the mood of the lyrics brilliantly, in my opinion. AT THE GATES have always been fans of anything eclectic and extreme, and we are finally at a moment in our career where we feel comfortable lifting in some of these, more avantgarde influences within the at the gates trademark sound. Minimalistic neo classical influences here clash with the deutsche rock/”kraut” and no wave sounds that we love so much. The video is once again shot by Costin, our longtime collaborator, and, once again, he managed to add extra depth and texture to the music and lyrics,” states AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg Redant about “Cosmic Pessimism”.
