“The process of writing this song inspired me greatly, so I hope it translates in some way and inspires others out the other end. This one is for everyone who stays up high, and in their bubble that can’t be broken :,)” – Lennon Stella
JASMINE THOMPSON TEAMS WITH CALUM SCOTT FOR “love is just a word”
Martin Gut from the band comments:
The lyrics of the song are describing the inevitable ruin of mankind. To be stuck in apathy facing the abyss. The song was named after a band that our old bass player Staffan Persson had in his 20’s as a tribute to him. The awesome riff that gets the song started is something we are especially proud of.

There was a lot of nonsense going on in the world in the last few years and this song is dedicated to opening your eyes to the truth. For the artwork, we teamed up with our boy Zachokami to create something to emphasize the message of mass awakening.”

Summer Walker’s New Artist NO1-NOAH Releases Single Today
Singer/Songwriter NO-1 NOAH (Ghetto Earth Records/Interscope Records) isn’t ready to close the doors shut on his 2021. Today, the R&B polymath bounces back with his melodic banger, “Thank God.” Director Patricio Mosquera delivers an anime thriller for NOAH’s visualizer, where an all-out melee occurs. Though NOAH escapes unscathed from the battle, all doesn’t end well for the rising star. As for the song itself, it finds a confident NOAH stiff-arming detractors with his bruising wordplay and buttery delivery.

GRAMMY® Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter Joss Stone Returns with “Never Forget My Love” (Audio + Video)
Produced by Bay Street Records founder, award-winning musician, songwriter, producer, innovator, and Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart, and co-written by Stewart and Stone, “Never Forget My Love” is the title track from Stone’s new album, due early 2022. The duo wrote every song for the new record on acoustic guitar at Bay Street Studios in the Bahamas and then recorded all the tracks at Nashville’s famed Blackbird Studio. The project marks Stone’s first full-length LP in more than five years as well as her first new music with Stewart in over a decade. As on their previous collaboration, 2011’s critically acclaimed LP1, backing comes from a top tier band of session all-stars including drummer Chad Cromwell, bassist Michael Rhodes, and guitarist Tom Bukovac.
The new EP is prismatic as the Canadian artist dives fearlessly into her own psyche with acute self-awareness. Betta Lemme surges with intimate and expansive ballads that ebb, flow, and burst with lyrical wit that hits all the emotional pressure points. A maverick at heart, Betta tackles themes of mental health, identity, love, and loneliness with both playful curiosity and pensive finesse as she reminds us of the fleeting ever-flowing nature of the human condition. Just by its title it may seem like another bubblegum pop record, but within seconds listeners will realize Ready For The Weekend is a masquerade for the hidden angst and uncertainty many wrestle with when they’re trying to believe in something so fragile and impermanent.

SEBASTIAN JAVIER RELEASES FIRST HOLIDAY SINGLE “CHRISTMAS TIME”
About “Christmas Time,” Sebastian shared, “This song centers on the concept of COVID and how hard it’s been to get together with family. Presents are irrelevant this year, and the true gift is to be with the ones we love. ‘Christmas Time’ touches on the ‘finish line’ subject as a means of finally getting to a place where we can be with family as COVID slowly begins to go away. We made it!”
With a swaggering waltz, close harmonies, and a wealth of slide guitars, Jamestown Revival has perfectly encapsulated the dog days of feeling stranded by the events of the last two years in their brand new single, “These Days.” Straddling the line of good-time music and down-and-out feelings, “These Days” feels universal; a blurry memory of a worldwide shared experience, albeit a little closer to home for those who found themselves out of work for months on end. “‘These Days’ is about being down in the dumps, hamstrung, and unable to work,” say Jamestown Revival bandmates Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance.
This record kicks off a new era for NOTD as the lead single from their highly anticipated forthcoming debut EP, due out in the Spring of 2022. The track effortlessly bridges the gap between Nashville and Stockholm, blending glossy dancefloor-ready soundscapes with shimmering pop melodies as it dips in and out of neon keys and airy guitars. Meanwhile, The Band CAMINO serve up soaring harmonies and a hypnotic hook with eighties spirit, “I don’t wanna wait, never a good time to say goodbye, yeah!”

This strain would follow Noel through a move to Montreal in 2016, where he found himself again moving within predominantly white music communities. Such (dis)placement encouraged Noel to find respite in Ottawa, holed up temporarily in a family home, studying the various pieces of himself and putting them to place in his mercurial, reflective, expressive and captivating music.

I remember being on the train on the way to New York City listening to ‘Locked out of Heaven’ by Bruno Mars and becoming extremely inspired. It was also my first session with my good friend and collaborator, Zetra. It was such an amazing sight to see a hook and melody I wrote singing in the shower, turned into what the single is now.”

POWER PALADIN Signs To Atomic Fire Records And Announces Debut Album, With The Magic Of Windfyre Steel; Band Playthrough Video Now Playing + Preorders Available
Imagine deserted volcanic wasteland, freezing winds, and the all-embracing darkness of the longest winters on this planet: the obvious inspiration for rather vicious and somber tunes for lonely evening hours that the biggest part of Iceland’s heavy music scene is known for. Who would dare to think of tales about brave warriors and mystical creatures coming from such an island? Power metal seemed like a fairytale until 2017 when a Reykjavík-based sextet rose in quest of carrying out their uplifting tunes and finally proving everyone wrong. On an island known for its musical doom and gloom, they are the midnight sun.

Nina June Shares “The Great Reveal (feat. Jon Bryant)” From ‘Meet Me on the Edge of Our Ruin’ (Nov 26)
“Those ruins represent things we’ve lost,” she explains. “It could be friendships I’ve lost or people who I’ve truly loved in my life and moved on from. At the same time, we leave behind so many ruins as human beings. I’ve been a vegetarian since the age of six and a vegan for three years. I don’t understand why we as a species destroy our planet, leaving behind so much beauty. A ruin is anything I look back on and think, ‘That was once undamaged, now it’s broken and abandoned. Somewhere in there hides beauty. What direction am I going to take from here?'”
