VIDEO: Candlebox’s Kevin Martin Invites 12-Yr-Old Tik Tok Star On Stage To Perform “Far Behind”
Kevin Martin of the Platinum-selling rock band Candlebox had the audience at the Crescent Ballroon in Phoenix, AZ on its feet last night when he welcomed 12-year old Tik-Tok star Vedder Gabriel on stage to perform the band’s hit song “Far Behind.”
Martin and Gabriel had met previously on Instagram, which later led to a rockin’ Tik-Tok duet that caught the attention of thousands of fans. Martin quickly invited Gabriel on stage to perform the song, which led to a standing ovation.

The track debuted earlier today on Lauren Laverne’s BBC 6Music show and comes alongside news of a run of UK shows in 2022, their first tour since 2019.

Speaking on the track, Tasha says: “This is one of the first songs I wrote from the album, and came to encompass many of the feelings that I go on to continue exploring throughout the rest of the songs. It ties in some themes from the last record (solitude, bed time) while also revealing a new type of sadness and aching not often explored in my songwriting. It is a song about love ending, and wanting to linger in the imagining of it at its best, its warmest, and its most tender, while you try to let it go. It’s about reminiscing before the end has even come, relinquishing your heart so as to keep the sadness away just a little longer.”
