Out Today: “Beautiful Fantasy” from alternative rock band FKB

The band has taken influences from the blissful yet somewhat melancholy feeling present in so much of the early indie music from the early 2000s on their new track, “Beautiful Fantasy.”

The bass driven, upbeat indie pop tune uses kaleidoscope imagery to express the rush of excitement and colourful emotions that comes with a new relationship.

Problem and Snoop Dogg drop brutally honest “Dim My Light”

Compton rapper Problem teams up with his longtime collaborator and mentor Snoop Dogg to deliver yet another West Coast banger. Produced by Audio Anthem, the MC’s drop the tempo with a brutally honest message for the slackers who talk big, are too lazy to really work, and always have an excuse. Truth is, success is hard work and there’s no time for the ne’er-do-wells. It’s tough love and sage advice to set their mind straight and focus on their hustle.

LEISURE Shares ‘Side B’ EP (Out Today Via Nettwerk Records)

About the EP, the band had this to say: “‘Side B’ is a culmination of moods and atmospheres we worked on in these endlessly unpredictable times, pushing the sonics between both intimate and grandiose perspectives. We always try to create with freedom, and ‘Side B’ is a progression of letting go and simply releasing music that feels nice to our ears no matter how it’s created. The EP plays thematically between consciousness and unconsciousness, embracing challenges and moving forward to better oneself in a time where human connection is at an all-time low. We hope that these vibrations can accompany the human spirit on the escalator to the mad world ahead and breathe some life into those emotions that have been missing in recent times”.

ALL HAIL THE YETI Announces “Within the Hollow Earth” EP + New Video for “Bury Your Memory”

The supernatural stew of sludge and superstition known as ALL HAIL THE YETI has revealed a video for the single “Bury Your Memory” from the long-awaited EP, Within the Hollow Earth, scheduled for release November 12 via Minus Head Records.

A haunting tale of loss, “Bury Your Memory” harkens back to the fan favorite “After the Great Fire” from 2012’s self-titled debut with its yearning for redemption and strength. “‘Bury Your Memory’ was one of the first songs that we completed for this EP and I immediately knew that it would be the first single,” vocalist Connor Garritty says. “It feels very much like a traditional AHTY song, reminiscent of our self-titled record.”

New Sarah Osborne

Sarah Osborne is a singer-songwriter from the west coast of Canada. Hailing from a musical family and holding a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, this songstress and sea queen draws inspiration from folk, blues, jazz, and the weather.

Her new single, “Autumn Sun,” is a laid back, country influenced number loosely inspired by the French traditional song, “La Jument de Michao.”

The song’s video follows two lovers who have enjoyed some end of summer romance, but one must return to their home out east, while the other must continue to work on their dreams of the artist’s life, not yet ready to settle down.

The coming of fall is welcome but it does warn us that winter is around the corner. And with that comes the hungry howl of animals in the night, including the dark nights inside of ourselves.

CARTER ACE DROPS NEW EP THE ONE AND LONELY TODAY

These five tracks illuminate every facet of the slick, sly, and smooth genre disruptor. “Just Like Money” dips in and out of boisterous horns as he flexes his dynamic vocal range. Elsewhere, soft harmonies glide over “Me Sometimes,” while bass pulsates like a heartbeat. “He’s Alive” teems with intense energy. Its manic rhymes bleed into gruff and guttural ad-libs and a punkified hook.

Asher Roth Looks Back On His Unique Path with Satisfaction on “All Add Up”

On a superstar trajectory before retreating within himself and going his own way, Asher Roth knows that success is about more than what meets the eye. Reflecting fondly upon his winding career, Asher shares “All Add Up,” a soulful new single. Rhyming atop a hummable bassline, liquid electric keys, and soothing chirps of organ, Asher calmly recounts the whirlwind of his 20’s, brushing aside the surface-level accolades and instead choosing to cherish his memories of experiences that very few get to enjoy, from stage diving in Norway with Mac Miller, to rapping with Mos Def in Las Vegas, to gracing the cover of the XXL Freshman issue.

Jeremy Pinnell Makes Earnestness Fun Again On New LP Goodbye L.A.

Two critically acclaimed albums deep, songwriter and veteran road warrior Jeremy Pinnell possesses an uncanny ability to lead his loyal listeners through the joys and sorrows of being human—admittedly with the scales leaning quite a bit toward the sorrow bits. When it came time to make his new record, Pinnell decided to change things up a bit. The collective sound of Goodbye L.A.—Pinnell’s brand new full-length record, out today via SofaBurn Records—isn’t so much polished-up as it is intentionally steered to fit Pinnell’s goal of making a fun record. “[Production-wise] I wanted like 80s Waylon, ZZ Top. My idea was that I wanted to write a record that made people happy,” he says. “I want people to dance and have fun and love each other.” A big part of getting the desired result was bringing in Jonathan Tyler to produce Goodbye L.A., the result hitting the desired mark dead-center.
