The band’s new double album, ‘Slap Bang Blue Rendezvous’, will see a January 21st, 2022 release. The record was produced and mixed by Tomas Skogsberg, and the songs are all composed, jammed, arranged, and recorded at Sunlight Studio (Gräddö, SWE) mainly during the summer months of 2020. Sunlight Studio is without a doubt Diamond Dogs’ true home ground. The group has had countless collaborations with the inimitable producer throughout the years. During varying periods of time, the band members come and stay in the studio’s cottage annex, with sessions, mind-expanding, forest walks, and rock ’n’ roll tales around the clock. Their common love for the golden years of ’Mott’ makes them inseparable.
In taking a step back from her signature synth-laden, sparkling pop music, Swedish singer and songwriter Maja Francis rediscovered her roots—and her piano—while writing songs for her full-length debut album A Pink Soft Mess. Released worldwide last Friday, A Pink Soft Mess finds the daughter of a record store owner embracing her melancholy and emotional country-pop sound which matches brilliantly with the album’s shimmering pink design themes—fitting for an artist often described as “Emo Dolly Parton.”
SHINee’s KEY Releases New Mini Album, ‘BAD LOVE’
In addition to masterminding the retro space concept for the album’s imagery, KEY wrote the lyrics for two of the tracks — “Saturday Night” and “Eighteen (End Of My World)” — making it a deeply personal project. GODLESS: Indian Death Metal Quintet To Release Debut LP, States Of Chaos, In November
Thematically, States Of Chaos explores topics hinging on psychological trepidation and terror and phantasmagorias of dreamscapes that are sure to induce nightmares. The drums on States Of Chaos were recorded at Wind Horse Recording Studios, the guitars and bass recorded at Infinity Studios, and the vocals recorded at Hydrozoa HQ, with all recordings engineered by the band’s Abbas Razvi. GODLESS again summoned the devastating sound of Poland’s Hertz Studio (Vader, Behemoth, Decapitated) to handle the mixing and mastering duties for the album, and the result is a uniquely vicious-sounding record that takes no prisoners. The album is completed with artwork and design by New Salem and photography by David Dawson.
