Lana Del Rey announces new album Blue Banisters alongside release of visual for new song ‘Arcadia’
Today Lana Del Rey announces the pre-order for her eighth studio record Blue Banisters following the success of her previous album Chemtrails Over The Country Club, which was released earlier this year. Due for release on 22nd October, the pre-order for Blue Banisters is available now for download, as well as CD and cassette, with various exclusive vinyl formats that can be found at www.lanadelrey.com. Blue Banisters will include previously released songs ‘Wildflower Wildfire’, ‘Blue Banisters’ and ‘Text Book’.
On the creation of the track, Gryffin says “Piece of Me” is a song that I probably had the most fun recording during this past year. When the world turned upside down, and all my shows and traveling stopped, I was yearning for some energy and bounce back into my life, and this record gave me that jolt of excitement I needed. We wanted to create a fun, upbeat, self-confidence anthem, and we’re so happy with how this record turned out.”
SOJA Releases “Reason To Live” ft. Dirty Heads and Nanpa Básico – Listen Now
“Those guys are like mad scientists; they’ve got music that sounds like hip-hop and reggae and pop all at once, and at the root of it are these lyrics that hit you so hard,” he says. With its shimmering groove and shapeshifting textures, “Reason To Live” features a Spanish-sung verse from Colombian hip-hop icon Nanpa Básico, adding even more urgency to the song’s message of open-hearted perseverance. “You might be going through life with all these plans and thoughts of how it’s all going to work out, and then something happens and you realize that what you were so focused on was actually hurting you,” says Hemphill. “The truth is that the future isn’t in your hands, and your reason to live might come from a place that you weren’t expecting at all.”
While it may be strange to admit this, the pandemic gave the blossoming friendship between prolific Montréal bassist, Mishka Stein, and innovative producer, Samuel Woywitka, a chance to develop and time to explore, leading the duo to write and record their first album.
KENI REVEALS STUNNING VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “BIG ENOUGH”// WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
“Big Enough” is a huge middle finger to the men who undermine strong women that have a clear sense of who they are and what they want to accomplish. I wrote this song about a conversation I had with a guy I used to go out with. I was laying in his bed and we were talking about our lives and what we wanted to achieve. I started talking about my passion for music and songwriting and how being an artist is the only path for me. After bearing my soul to this guy who was wearing a Rick and Morty t-shirt and sporting unbrushed teeth, he started telling me that I should definitely have a backup plan, in a condescending way. Coming from someone who couldn’t even keep a job, this was a huge slap in the face. I held my tongue because the pillow talk was plunging hard enough without my help. These types of conversations have been all too frequent, especially with men (unfortunately). There isn’t enough room or time for anyone who cheapens your dreams simply because they’re scared of going after their own. One of my favorite lines in Big Enough is “if you wanna be a rockstar then learn to play the guitar”. Hopefully that boy finally learned.’
The song, penned by a couple of veteran Music Row hitmakers, Marla Cannon-Goodman and Shane Stockton, is a well-crafted excursion into the country side of bluegrass that suggests once again that Roberts has a rare degree of interpretive conviction and depth for a singer just emerging from her teens.
R&B Newcomer Jordan Ward Releases “Lil Baby Crush” Video
St Louis raised singer/dancer Jordan Ward (ARTium/Interscope Records) has his eyes set on finishing 2021 strong. His first single, “Lil Baby Crush,” is a step in the right direction for the young polymath looking to make a splashy impact in the R&B sphere. His buttery vocals and smooth confidence prove to be the winning factor in securing the apple of his eye while at a chill kickback.
Guided By Voices Share New Single + Video, “Dance of Gurus,” via FLOOD
Said accompanying video for “Dance of Gurus” translates the guitar-led track into a psychedelic fantasy, a collage-like world pieced together with imagery of the band performing, split up with eclectically whimsical clips from many different sources. It’s best if you watch for yourself!

D.C.’s Broke Royals share their newest single “Postcard” and tease at a third album out next year. The new single comes off a collaboration with fellow D.C.’s genre-bending Bartees Strange. “Postcard” features a more autobiographical approach to songwriting than Broke Royals has seen before, their last album Saint Luxury built a fictional world that became the vehicle for the stories they wanted to tell.
“Just About Over You” quickly shot to the top of iTunes all-genre chart within 12 hours of its release and recently was the featured artist of the week on Billboard Magazine’s all-genre Chartbreaker. “Wild” – New Visual From Indie Darling David Maine
Stepping into his own sonic world full of ethereal synths and over-driven drums complemented with highly personal lyrics, “Wild” is about expressing yourself freely and openly. “I think I reached a point in my life where I’m more accepting of who I am. If I’m going through something difficult I’m not going to hide it. If I’m enjoying something I’m not going to hide it. If people think I’m weird that’s cool.”
WaxFeet Dive Deep with the Hypnotic “Everything is Everything”
Santa Cruz California based WaxFeet creates splendid audiovisual experiences that excite, calm and hopefully heal the mind and soul. You’ll find influences of J Dilla and Nujabes, with their own signature sounds that excite the world of lofi hiphop. These days, it is quite hard to find an artist willing to be labeled under the terms chill, lo-fi, and downtempo who is trying to push the boundaries, or at least breathe some fresh air into these genres. Luckily, Waxfeet and their new video/song “Everything is Everything” could be exactly that breath of fresh air downtempo, trip-hop, or whatever you want to call it needs these days.

Zack King Comes to Life with New Single + Video for “Take It Away”
Out in the suburbs of Minnesota, the winters are long, harsh, and biting. However, it all feels a little warmer with local singer-songwriter Zack King around. Life is simpler out there, and he, armed with an acoustic guitar and a heart of gold, just wants everyone to stop for a moment and take it all in. A fanatic for ’90s nostalgia a la Matchbox Twenty, Zack toyed around with music his whole life before turning it into a professional pursuit after graduating college. Like many, he found himself feeling lost after graduation, and turned to his music to confront those feelings. “I found peace and happiness through creating music,” he shares. In 2020, King released his debut album “Mess,” a moving collection inspired by past relationships, everyday challenges, and the never-ending pursuit to become the person he was meant to be. It’s an album that marked personal and professional triumph for the artist, showcasing a remarkable vulnerability that immediately captivated a devoted fan base of listeners.

CULT BURIAL will be releasing their sophomore EP Oblivion on September 10, 2021, but it is now streaming exclusively on Metal Injection.
The band comments: “This album is a project where every line screamed makes you close to the total erosion of time and exhaustless existence. Our EP is the realization of a null and void plea for mercifulness. Heavier and somberer than our debut, a rageful impulse to increase the volume will be experienced while listening to Oblivion.”
