L’Orange Release New Album

The news talks about catastrophes that sound like science fiction: apartment towers collapsing with no warning, satellites falling from space, the ocean on fire. It’s an era of extremes, where each cataclysm seems to presage an even greater one, and only the truly exceptional––the superhuman––seem cut out to survive. What the new album from L’Orange, the prolific and endlessly inventive producer from North Carolina, argues is nearly the opposite. Released on Mello Music Group, The World Is Still Chaos, But I Feel Better is a testament to the power of self knowledge and incremental progress, of the way tiny steps can give structure to life and help navigate the unknown.

HOLY WARS’ KAT LEON & DAVEY SUICIDE Join Forces With Industrial Powerhouse DK-ZERO For New Version Of KISS’s “I Was Made For Loving You!”

If there was one moment in music history when it could be said that heavy metal succumbed to the temptation of a national pop music trend, selling its power chord strumming, leather-studded soul to the disco devil, the release of KISS’s dance club-fueled single “I Was Made For Loving You” is that moment. But the reality is that KISS were merely anticipating cross-genre trends that today are all too familiar.

Take, for instance, the hip hop-inspired, steampunk-powered, electro-engineered industrial metal of DK-Zero, who today unleash their newest single, a mind-blowing, game-changing cover of KISS’s so-called disco song, the aforementioned “I Was Made For Loving You.” Aiding the band are two other modern alternative pioneers, L.A.-based Kat Leon of Holy Wars and heavy rock outfit Davey Suicide, who together with DK-Zero set out to reclaim the brilliant “I Was Made For Loving You” as a vibrant heavy metal song that you can both bang your head and shake your booty to!

Will Clarke Puts Perfectionism In Its Place With Brooding Techno Affair “Sometimes You Gotta Let It Go” for Factory 93 – Sept 3

The seasoned dance music veteran from Bristol has been making some serious headway in the techno lane, building off the hype from his own All We Have Is Now imprint (under Insomniac Music Group), as well as an impressive run with lauded labels from the likes of Drumcode, Kneaded Pains, We Are The Brave, Trick, TrueSoul, and Filth on Acid. His latest creation lands on Factory 93 at the end of the week, and it’s a haunting brooding techno number that has been a secret weapon in his sets for a while now. Blunt Bangs new single “Odessa” out now; ‘Proper Smoker’ out Sept. 17

The single is the third release from the new power-pop supergroup, which is the lovechild of Reggie Youngblood (whose singular voice led indie-rock group Black Kids), Christian “Smokey” DeRoeck (Woods, Deep State, Meneguar, Little Gold), and Cash Carter (Tracy Shedd, The Cadets, Kindercore Records). The trio came together in Athens, GA when Youngblood and Carter moved to the city and reached out to DeRoeck after realizing there was a vacuum for the kind of earnest power-pop they wanted to create. Reggie’s unquestionable indie rock cred blends perfectly with the band’s pop-punk grit to create a ruckus that’ll make you want to mosh around like you’re at a dingy house show.

Track Out Today from Chace Saltzman

The Byrds and The Beatles strongly influence this track, and Chace’s songwriting in general. “The choruses are an attempt to marry my love for the Byrds’ harmonies with the atmospherics of shoegaze bands like Slowdive,” Chace says. “The introduction is a nod to my deep love of Hindustani Indian classical music.”

Artist: Angel Renteria – Album: Chocame

Chocame has a very happy sound. It is a mix of reggaeton and pop. There are moments in your life that you find yourself locked up, your day-to-day living is a circle, this song is about breaking that circle by doing something different.

Artist: E-Dash – Album: Ridin’

“Anyone who’s found a niche, found something in life that they feel like they can be good at, the goal is to master it,” E-Dash said. “Don’t present it to the world until it’s mastered. You might get discouraged or you might get pushed or pulled every way, but until you master it, that’s when it’s time to work on presenting it to the world because nobody can be you but you and if you master yourself, nobody can compete with that. Nobody can try to compare themselves with you. That’s my goal, is to present to the world mastery.”

Seasurfer – ‘Drifting’

Shortly after SEASURFER’s acclaimed third album “Zombies” has also been released on vinyl in addition to the earlier CD edition, the Hamburg-based dream pop duo comes up with a new version of the song “Drifting”. The track turned out to be one of the fan’s favourites on the record, so Dirk Knight and Apolonia decided to produce an alternate mix.
