Hail The Sun announce North American tour this Fall

Following the release of their album New Age Filth this past April, Hail The Sun have announced they’ll be touring in support of the record this fall across North America. Presented by Equal Vision Records, the tour will also feature the openers Kaonashi, who will release their debut album on May 21st via EVR, as well as Kurt Travis and Body Thief.

Aesop Rock shares “Jumping Coffin” video

Aesop Rock has just shared another installment in the visual saga surrounding last year’s masterstroke album Spirit World Field Guide (via Rhymesayers). “Jumping Coffin” deviates from the episodic narrative established in the previous videos (“The Gates,” “Pizza Alley,” and “Coveralls”). Like the previous installments, the visual was directed by Aesop’s longtime collaborator Rob Shaw, who rotoscoped animation on top of action footage of renowned professional skaters Emile Laurent, Enzo Kurmaskie, Anthony Del Togno Armanasco, and Silas Baxter-Neal, yielding hallucinatory images of skeletons shredding with reckless abandon.

Martha Wainwright is beginning again. The beguiling performer and songwriter makes a most welcome return with Love Will Be Reborn, her first new album in five years, released August 20th on Pheromone Records/Cooking Vinyl.

It’s her first album since 2016’s ‘Goodnight City’, and the first since 2012’s acclaimed ‘Come Home To Mama’ to feature so much original material. All eleven songs on ‘Love Will Be Reborn’ are written by Martha. She wrote the first song, and what would become the title track, a few years ago in what was a very dark time for her personally.

In 2009, they scored a slot on tour with Black Label Society, Sevendust, and Dope that sealed a lot of friendships they still have to this day.

“In 2010, the love of my life passed away suddenly. Pill overdose. It was a devastating time. She was only 27. Morgan Rose and I wrote and recorded the EP, No Amends that was a dedication to my love” says Leonard Cerzosie Jr.
