JP Saxe Releases “Like That” From Forthcoming Debut Album “Dangerous Levels of Introspection”

Of “Like That,” Saxe says: “I learned love in all kinds of new ways over the last year. Terrifying ways for the most part but good terrifying. I didn’t realize it when Julia [Michaels] and I wrote ‘Like That,’ but I think it’s unintentionally very connected to the first song we ever wrote, ‘If The World Was Ending.’ That song is about who you would want to be with if everything went to shit. This song is about who was with you when everything did go to shit.”

SUZI MOON, the newest member of the Pirates Press Records family, has just released her second single for “I’m Not A Man.” The song comes from Moon’s upcoming Call The Shots 3 song EP, the debut solo release for the former CIVET member and TURBULENT HEARTS frontwoman.

Hear The High Hawks’ Shuffling Ode To The Road In “Heroes & Highways” From Debut, Self-Titled Album

In the first few seconds of The High Hawks’ debut single, a flurry of pulsing electric piano, kick drum, and Townshend-esque guitar strums give way to a flat out J.J. Cale groove just in time for the first line to be sung: “If we could just find a highway…might even find a way to make it home.” And thus, The High Hawks take flight. That tune, “Heroes & Highways,” is an appropriate first taste of music from the long-time-coming, feel-good Americana cooperative, naturally expressing the range of which the bands’ members can reach. With close to 150 years of collective experience as professional touring musicians, The High Hawks—Vince Herman  (Leftover Salmon), Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth), Chad Staehly (Hard Working Americans), Adam Greuel (Horseshoes & Hand Grenades), Brian Adams (DeadPhish Orchestra) and Will Trask (Great American Taxi)—have maintained a generation-spanning presence at the forefront of the roots music scene for over two decades. On June 11th, their debut album The High Hawks will be released via LoHi Records.

Michael Ray Releases Family-Inspired Track “Picture” + Official Music Video

“This past year I was able to go home and reconnect with what made me want to move to Nashville, what made me fall in love with music, the people who made me who I am, the people who believed in me from day one,” the singer / songwriter said. “I think it helped me re-find myself and re-discover the kind of music I want to make. That’s where a song like ‘Picture’ comes from. After my Uncle Terry passed last June, I wanted to write an autobiographical song about my family and the memories we all have to look back on – but its not a sad song. It’s a song of celebration. I hope it reminds people, like it does for me, to capture moments with their loved ones.”

As a follow up to ‘Amor De Que,’ her massive 2020 Carnival anthem, singer-songwriter and drag queen Pabllo Vittar is releasing her first offering of 2021, ‘Ama Sofre Chora’ from her forthcoming album. The love-soaked ballad pulls sonic inspiration from her cultural past but with an aim to usher the influences into her meteoric rise across international borders to the global pop stratosphere.

DAGR, the LA production duo of Ceci G and Veronica Jane, returns with “Fuck Knots” featuring Uffie!

“Day one of the DAGR x Uffie collab, the ‘Fuck Knots’ banger was born. Inspired by a tangle of unbrushed hair and unrequited love, the video takes viewers on a frenzied journey through a distorted celebrity mugshot. Led by hallucinations of solo cups and iPhone paparazzi, “Fuck Knots” captures the surreal spiral of 2020 via punch-drunk frames & thumping 808s. She is a hard, club-ready slap that is rough around the edges in all the right ways.” – DAGR

“Dave Meyers and I are back together again,” says P!NK. “Since this song is sort of the story of my life and a letter to my daughter, making this video with Dave after we did our first video together 22 years ago is a really special full circle moment. The Ruddy Ruckus Share the Vibrant “Hold On My Love”

Produced by The Dirty Nil’s Luke Bentham, new single, “Hold On My Love,” is baked in a certain brand of folky nostalgia that revisits more innocent times. As the message of the song is to hunker down and wait out the storms that life throws at us, there is a certain romanticism in the idea that things were better or easier in the past.

Getting older is a part of life that no-one can escape, as much as we might want to sometimes. A sentiment that is expressed perfectly in Bowling For Soup’s brand new single Getting Old Sucks (But Everybody’s Doing It). 2021 is the year where pop punk has burst back into the mainstream consciousness in a big way; Getting Old Sucks shows exactly why Bowling For Soup are still at the top of their game two decades after they first hit the big time.

Will Stratton Shares Video For “Fate’s Ghost”

Of the track Stratton says: “More than any other song on this album, Fate’s Ghost is composed of feelings rather than thoughts. I had woken up from an odd dream one morning in 2016 and sat down and wrote it quickly. The imagery is all from that dream I had–deserted nighttime streets, racing horses, and huge, overwhelming storms. The arrangement was trickier to nail down than any other song on the album. The drumming and bass playing of Sean Mullins and Carmen Rothwell helped me finally figure it out. My friend Ben Seretan creates a perfect atmosphere with his nimple electric guitar playing. The great Eamon Fogarty sings backup on this one, and he has a beautiful voice. And my neighbor Justin Keller plays some lovely saxophone on the choruses.”
