“‘I Want To Know’ is a song that should get you up to dance like no one is watching. Just living in the moment. It’s a song that makes us smile & shows us how truly blessed we are in this world.” – Pushing Daizies
Occult Stereo has always been about free collaboration, but the new two-song EP is actually ‘solo’ (i.e. all instruments played by me, Alex).
The album was engineered, mixed, and mastered during a massive upheaval & transatlantic relocation. It captures a vibe and tension of uncertainty, while embracing forward momentum and rebirth.
Adelaide based producer and self proclaimed hellraiser, Godlands, has today given us a banging taste of what’s to come from her forthcoming EP in the form of new single, “My Weakness’ ft BRUX.” On the track Godlands has teamed up with Aussie musical alumni including BRUX (the project of Elizabeth Rose) and The Kite String Tangle, who co-wrote the single. Godlands is also thrilled to announce she’ll be releasing her brand new five track EP TY4R (Thank You For Raging) on 4 June as well as touring across the country this June and July, tickets available HERE.
Alongside the original studio album and a number of B-sides, the collection includes tracks taken from their debut Noisebox EP, featuring the original recording of “Powder Blue,” and their two releases for Manchester independent Uglyman Records, the Newborn EP and the Any Day Now EP. Fans will also be able to hear six tracks from the band’s headline show at London Astoria on October 24, during the album tour; three tracks recorded for Steve Lamacq’s Evening Session on Radio One, transmitted in April 2001; and remixes of album tracks, including fellow Mancunian Andy Votel’s take on “Powder Blue.”
With calming lyrics like the world is alright, do you see it, in the morning light, in the mountain skies, “Mountain Skies” is sure to bring the peace and tranquility we have all been searching for after a long, rough year.
During the summer of 2020, the album’s first single was revealed as ‘The World Can Wait’ featuring the voice of Luis Fonsi, an artist most recognized for his work in ‘Despacito’ with Justin Bieber, which has collectively gained over 20 billion streams. For the album’s second single, “What’s Your Love Like,” Paul Oakenfold embraced his longtime love affair with Hip-Hop in featuring Grammy Award-winning rapper/actress Eve and emerging rapper/producer Baby E in the song.
The world is ruled by speed. Speed which drives history forward in a state of ever-increasing acceleration. Such is the central claim of dromology; a theory of speed originated by French philosopher Paul Virilio (1932-2018). It is on this premise that TERMINALIST bases their conceptual universe. On The Great Acceleration, they bring the dromocratic philosophy together with their own science fiction narratives as they describe a world in crisis and a planet in collapse being abandoned in favor of colonization of space.
NJ’s Buzziest Surf Rock Band DENTIST Release New Single
When last we caught up with NJ trio Dentist, they had just released a brand new single “Don’t Let Me Catch You,” along with a hilariously twisted video that fans of the band’s dark humor found comfortingly familiar. Now the band has prepped the release of another new single that takes its emotional content a little more seriously and straight-faced. “Let Me Let Go,” is a reverb drenched tune that kicks in with bouncy indie pop and explodes into fuzzed out garage rock by the first chorus. The video, directed by Mat Hale of Image 8 Nineteen brings the lyrics and energy of the track to life in a surreal world of anxiety and uncertainty.
GIRLZLUHDEV SHARES CAREFREE VISUAL FOR “DEAD BRO”
The song, built around smooth keys, slick bass, and Dev’s buttery crooning, is a West Coast delight that’s echoed by the slick visuals. Dev and his crew pal around outside a gas station, two-stepping and busting moves in preparation for the lively summer ahead. Dev’s charisma and charm in the visual call back to the greatest California MCs, who built long careers out of rapping well and having a good time.
The shovel-wielding, bucket hat wearing producer has been changing the game in the bass scene with an aggressive and downright sinister sound. He recently made his label debut on Bassrush with a hard trap leaning single, “RUN WHEN YOU SEE ME,” and followed up the effort with a hard dance single on its sister label Basscon Records with “SHOW UP.” He’s now hitting up the former with his full-fledged five track offering, a crossbred bass and hard dance package meant to take the listener on a frightening path down festival-ready tracks from your wildest nightmares.
Title: RUN WHEN YOU SEE ME EP
