VANENO – single “Nightrider” from EP “Struggle Through Absurdity”

VANENO is the outcome of a journey that started in 2017 with the band’s humble beginnings of three friends that wanted to jam together. Miguel Nunes (Drums), Eduardo Cunha (Guitar) and António Tavares (Guitar). The need to add new layers to the sound ended up in a search for a bass player and so Pedro Fernandes (Bass) joined the band. It was up until Fall 2019 that the band’s 5 element lineup was closed with the arrival of Alexandre Fernandes to handle the vocal duties.

Introducing Huntington, WV Rock Band DUCAIN; New Self-Titled Album Out Now via Mon Hills Records!

“Thick as Thieves” embodies a message of relying on the strength of familial bonds in times of adversity, set against a bare-knuckled, twin guitar groove. “Family has always been the most important thing in my life, and that’s something most West Virginians can relate to,” says lead singer and guitarist Jeremy Sargent. “We know our family will always have our backs… and I felt it was important for me to put into words the ties that bind us.”

Watch Woody & Jeremy’s new “Distant Lands” video; Gravy in my Coffee is out on 6/4

Regarding the meaning behind the single/video, the band stated: “The demo of this song was just bass and vocals. We brought it to the band and it became fleshed out and muscular and yet still retained its original spareness that gives it a lot of its power. Each of the band member’s unique taste and disposition is very evident and up front on the recording and makes the tune as striking as it is. We asked everyone to record themselves on their phones and try to replicate their original performance along to the song. Not easy or fun to do, but it came out great. Assembled together, it further highlights each performance and its character. It’s great to have a video that features the full band that recorded this album because although the project is called “Woody & Jeremy” we’d be nothing without our collaborators.”

NTVG released “Dejo Atrás” [“I Leave Behind”], the third single from the band’s anticipated next album. The song also takes on the challenges of being different, being new, being happy; of reinventing oneself: “como el cuerpo de una mariposa / traigo estos colores pero dejo atrás / un envase y un montón de cosas que se van… [like the body of a butterfly / I bring these colors but leave behind / a container and many things that leave…]”

Watch Jonny Kosmo’s new “Fool” music video; sophomore LP is out on 6/4

“There are two sides to every coin. “Fool” is about how our character struggles can also be our greatest assets. In this case it is love and connection with another that allows the defensiveness and protection of the fool archetype to shift to that of a fool for life. I aimed to capture the movement from the rigidity of taking ourselves too seriously to the humor of being human. This song is accompanied by a video made by Kevin Kearney, Peter Nichols (animation), and myself.”

You know the rest of the story by now: School of X’s debut album Armlock came out while Littauer was forced to stay in. But instead of hanging his head, Rasmus Littauer, who has a habit of isolating himself while working on his music, took off to his childhood home in the Danish countryside.

Decatur, IL-based Americana singer-songwriter Ashley Riley is set to release her new album, Set You Free, on June 18, 2021. Her sound is laced with earthy grit, and at its core, Riley’s music is best described as sophisticated indie-Americana. There’s a dreamy quality to the songs, yet lyrically they capture the essence of the more honest moments of our days: those seemingly ordinary moments that suddenly take your breath away or make you weak in the knees, those moments that prove to us that oftentimes the most extraordinary moments are found in our everyday lives.

Unwed Sailor channel cinematic ambient roots on “Dark of the Morning” out now; ‘Truth or Consequences’ LP out 5/14 on Spartan Records

Recorded almost entirely in the band’s home studio (and partially in Birmingham, AL and Bloomington, IN), the record is a sonic examination of particular memories or moments in Ford’s life, with each song serving as a unique snapshot of an overarching narrative. “The songs are like rays of light that break through the fog of everyday mundane experiences,” says Ford. “Reflecting on those moments and imaginings gives you insight into how you got where you are and how you’ve become who you are.”

The track, “Scherzo”, is taken from Wreche’s upcoming album All my dreams came true, which will be released on May 14 2021.

John Steven Morgan, the band’s sole member, handles all instruments and vocals on “Scherzo”, creating a demented and anguished yet strangely beautiful cacophony. Tortured screams and blasting drums writhe alongside Wreche’s signature classical-influenced piano that acts as lead instrument in place of guitars.

According to No Clean Singing: “The impact of [“Scherzo”]…is harrowing, a constant coiling of tension and peril, a searing portrayal of fear and madness.”

WRECHE: OUR PREMIERE OF “SCHERZO” AND A REVIEW OF “ALL MY DREAMS CAME TRUE”

‘You Get Me’

We all have a side of us that we soften and make more palatable for others.

This song is a rebellion against that habit. My new single “You Get Me” is about being loud, larger than life, and truthful to oneself. And being stupidly loved because of it all, not in spi

NEW TRACK: “Dopamine”

I am excited to share my new track with you this morning. “Dopamine” is about a person who can’t believe how lucky they are to have found that special someone that they’re totally over-the-moon for.

I wrote this song with Chris Kirby. It really explores the feeling of being with a partner who makes you want to be your best self and to be better, even though that person loves you for who you are.

Devin Shaffer Announces Debut LP, Shares Video for “Enemy”

“Enemy” is one of the most straightforward, pop-oriented songs on In My Dreams I’m There. It’s a song about relationships, this time from a cheeky viewpoint, poking fun at jealousy and the danger of copendency. The video — directed by Carl Solether (Beach House, Carly Rae Jepsen, Hand Habits, Chastity Belt) and colored by Emily Sprague of Florist — hints at the tension to which “Enemy” alludes. Shaffer alternately explores a Midwestern winter dreamscape amidst washes of pastel and shimmering lake sunshine, and submerges herself in a bath in warm red light.

The Revivalists’ David Shaw Releases Music Video For “Got Me Feeling Good”

“I have always had a passion for skating,” shares Shaw. “If I wasn’t pushing a skateboard around or playing guitar as a 14-year-old, I was in my skates, and over this past year I had a lot more time on my mind so I got the itch to get back into it. As I was doing so, it really reinvigorated my love for the art. One day while I was having a skate down by the river I ran into an old friend, Bobby Bonsey, who had happened to be skating out there as well. We struck up a conversation and that’s what planted the seed for the video.”
