Melody Federer shares emotional new song “Deep Blue”

Today, Melody Federer has released “Deep Blue” (Feat. Bensbeendead). “Deep Blue,” Federer’s first fully self-produced track, follows February’s release “I Hate Love,” produced by Absofacto. Both song offerings from Federer are raw, cutting, honest and emotional. Federer puts it all out there, traversing themes from heartbreak, to hate. She puts depression and darkness at the forefront of her newest song, opening the track with the line “I struggle with the deepest blue sometimes.” The song goes on to warn “don’t go swimming and think that that water is clean no matter how deep.”

Colin Miller’s new EP ‘Hook’ is out today on Oof Records!

Colin Miller’s earliest memories are of growing up in rural Virginia, where his parents were inn-keepers at a converted turn-of-the-century mansion. This experience instilled a sense of small town hospitality—that is, to Miller, the idea of expending energy as a means of being good to people, caring for them like you would yourself. This impulse has made its way into his music: his lyrics are tuned to allow empathy, commiseration, shared emotion and feeling. Hospitality doesn’t just mean making someone feel at home, but at home with you, which is different, and more meaningful.

The band teased “Naked” on their TikTok account last Friday evening, calling it “the perfect song to post on your [Instagram] story about your ex.” Over the weekend, it had already amassed over 1.5 million views and thousands of comments from excited fans highly anticipating the full song’s release.

Each track on the album is about finding beauty in everyday spaces – not just places “set aside” for their scenic attributes, like natural parks, but in the cracks of sidewalks and rusted building structures and anywhere else our eyes land.

“Thunberg very much embodies the thinking and energy that I eventually came to associate with much of the music on this album,” says composer and multi-instrumentalist Robert Lowe, one-half of the duo that also includes Michael A. Muller. He remembers telling a friend that he was working on a piece for piano, French horn and a trio of double basses and being called “insane.”

Peaches shares new single/video “Pussy Mask” via Third Man Records

Peaches says, “Because of the pandemic, our collective anxieties unite us more than ever. Even though it may not affect each one of us the same way, we all have similar base concerns. A serious reminder that we are all in this together. I wanted the song to be absurd and fun but also a reflection of our concerns. The humor shines some light into our dark, confusing, and frustrating reality.”

Acclaimed Artist Jesse Marchant Releases Timeless Lead Single From Forthcoming Album

“I had the piano part for quite some time but struggled to find the vocal melody, imagery and words. The falsetto notes that open the song came to me one morning when I was playing the chords, but I lacked confidence in that range for my voice, as it was somewhat new to me. Over time my confidence with it deepened and the song began to bloom, later to become one of the pillar tracks of the record. I am proud of how it moves through different sections seamlessly, like a stream that flows and forms into pools before continuing on to do so again and again.”

LA-Based Turkish Guitarist & Composer Deniz Cuylan Shares Video for “She Was Always Here”

LA Based CHILLEMI shares sophisticated new music video for “Neon Bride,” a swirl of dark country and alternative rock

CHILLEMI shares, “‘Neon Bride’ came out of me mishearing a Lee Hazlewood line… when I realized he was not actually saying neon bride I figured that sounded like a good starting point for a song. Who doesn’t like neon? I got home and wrote the song in about 20 minutes straight through. It doesn’t always happen like that but when it does it feels like a gift so I always try to stay open to receive.”

Gemini Syndrome Releases New Track And Music Video For “Die With Me” Today

“23, Shakespeare, The divine wedding of yin and yang… ‘Die With Me’ is an invitation for the listener to come along on the journey of self-discovery with us, which ultimately leads to the death of the lower self and the resurrection of the higher self. Lao Tzu said, ‘The one created the two, the two created the three, and then came the 10,000 things.’ 2 and 3 respectively correspond to the male and female energies. 2 being a single line and 3 being a triangle or vessel. Therefore 23 signifies the merging of the seemingly opposite energies of male and female,” states Gemini Syndrome vocalist Aaron Nordstrom about the newest release.
