The album will be released on April 20, 2021, and features production by Mike Montgomery (The Breeders, Buffalo Killers) with art by Alan Forbes (AFI, The Black Crowes). When we last heard from the band, they were trolling the depths of existence with a medatative tune. On ‘Necronomicon’ you get the answer to the question: what if Tom Waits and Nick Drake had been in Fleetwood Mac instead of Lindsey Buckingham? With cosmically great vocals and spooky Americana and rock sonics, “Necronomicon” hints at their best work to come on the new album.”

My previous video Loyalty was shot before the protests, there is a strong scene between the Sudanese and the white actors which we left in the final cut. It is about opening up a discussion on anti-blackness, which has long been a problem in the Middle East, but it is rarely discussed.
Due to the pandemic and the restrictions that have followed, the band members were challenged to make their first music video completely by themselves. This challenge goes hand in hand with the song’s message – to have patience and trust the process. Greek Experimental Electronic-Pop Artist, IOTA PHI Shares Atmospheric New Single ‘Wolves Mate For Life’
IOTA PHI aka Ilia Darlin is a Greek singer, songwriter, director and record producer. Inspired by ideas of identity, post humanism and greek mythology, her sound effortlessly brings together a swirling mix of Alternative Electronic, Pop and R&B in a truly original and elegant Art-Pop package.
Quote from Diane Jean (they/them pronouns):
I wrote Stonewall about the distribution of emotional labor in relationships and what is often asked of us AFAB (assigned female at birth) individuals based on our perceived gender identities. I believe that a lot of my shortcomings within the context of interpersonal relationships were as a result of emotional over exertion, and I really wanted to capture that feeling on this one. You might notice that the vocals on this song sound defeated or exhausted. To accomplish that, we recorded the main vocal in one take, as a first utterance (I woke up after a near all-nighter at the Studio, and without speaking a word, I recorded it directly from my sleeping bag…literally). Stonewall is really my own anthem of rebellion- against my own perfectionism and against the constant inner monologue that tells me to adapt to others’ needs and expectations.
ACID MAMMOTH: new album ‘Caravan’ streaming in full!
“‘Caravan’ is primitive on its face but deceptively intricate and ably constructed, with a consistency of craft that unites the material across this five song/40-minute release and finds Acid Mammoth living up to the challenge and responsibility before them. No single band could possibly embody the entirety of ‘Greek heavy’ as a form simply because it isn’t a singular form, but in culling influences from the worldwide heavy sphere and reshaping them into something of their own, Acid Mammoth nonetheless bring to life a key ethic in what’s made Greece flourish these last years, and so, are a fitting and vital representation after all.” says The Obelisk.
