Thumbprint Radio takes songs that a user has thumbed-up across all of their stations, or anywhere on Pandora – since they first became a Pandora user – mixed with an ever-updating variety of new songs that Pandora knows the user will love based on their thumbs, to create a single personal station that’s as unique as each user’s own thumbprint (get it?), and that grows and evolves with the user and their tastes every time they thumb.

Ridgewood, Queens indie rock/post-pop duo YO KINKY composed of Laura Wight and Tom Unish, share their second single, “Resistance,” which finds the duo exploring a more delicate yet simultaneously strong and confident mood. With Tom Unish’s spaced-out, rockabilly-tinged guitar bouncing through the song’s driving, hypnotic layers of sound, they paint a sonic landscape that yearns for much-needed intimacy in a time of social distancing and isolation. As Laura Wight’s vocals float above the surface, singing “Love is all we breathe” and “Swing me off my feet,” she transports the listener to places of rich yet strange beauty. “Resistance” alludes to keeping sanity amidst chaos and finding contentment from the small things in life.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard releases new track & video

“The song itself feels as if it’s constantly moving along so I tried to keep the visuals continually moving forward and sliding into different visual styles and landscapes,” McClaren said about the video. “I felt the mix of stop motion and collage through the use of found imagery and the band would help compliment the tracks lyrics and themes as I interpreted them, of dreams, nightmares, climate change, dystopias, and utopias, as well as referencing events that took place during the making of the video over 2020. All video of the band was shot by Ambrose during the second lockdown restrictions and I had to give notes on shooting and direct remotely which was strange but so was everything during that period.”

“The video for “Acid Communion” was filmed in October 2020 by our good friends Ray Velazquez, Tristan Rogers, and Jay Haas, and I edited it myself. We filmed it in our old practice spot with very little planning and then I spent way too many hours editing. It’s intense. We have a lot in store for 2021. We’re deep into writing a new album, which we hope to record later this year. It’s still very much Bone Church, but I think people will be surprised and very stoked by new places we’ve taken the band’s sound.”

ORSON WILDS SHARES “MOTHERS DAUGHTERS” OFFICIAL VIDEO

“Music videos are really difficult to make during a pandemic,” recalls vocalist Eric Reid. “Ontario laws limit gatherings to only 10 people, and our band is eight people, so we were only allowed to bring four of them. We tried to make up for the lack of all the members by wearing a bunch of different outfits. We were really adamant about shooting this video on film, because the song feels bright and organic to me, like a warm hug. We wanted the video to feel like that, too.”

Paragon Cause – Making Up For Lost Time

It’s about time rushing forward and never able to catch up to your future plans. Lost opportunities and warning your past not to make the same mistakes, but feeling it is inevitable.
