Harry Hains’ Message Lives On A Year After His Passing

Harry Hains (a gender-fluid visionary artist and actor best known for American Horror Story and The OA) was really extraordinary, and we have the honor of working with his family to carry on his legacy. He didn’t believe in gender or labels, so in order to create a word that he wanted to live in, Harry created this project, ANTIBOY, which is kind of an Android living in a future non-binary world with no judgement where people saw each other as just their own inner pure consciousness. ANTIBOY’s message is so important because it sits at the intersection of our culture’s ongoing conversations about identity, gender, race, self-expression and even drug addiction (something that Harry struggled with and ultimately passed from) that can often be a coping mechanism for feeling like an outsider and not “fitting in.” Harry’s personal journey and artistic vision is a pop culture conversation that ties together several crucial issues– human rights, LGBTQ equality, and America’s drug epidemic – which needs to be addressed in a wholistic manner because drug use is so often tied to mental health issues.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: GERMANY’S MANDY CAPRISTO

Mandy Capristo is one of the leading singers in German Pop music today. Mandy’s first major break into the music scene came in 2006, when she won a casting show and became a member of a pop band called Monrose. Mandy says the fact that she was chosen by the fans, made her victory even more meaningful. Four albums and over a dozen hits later, Mandy established herself as a solo artist. Her album ” Grace ” is an emotional journey filled with soulful ballads as well as upbeat and mid tempo feel good tracks. Each song with its own mood and story. Mandy Capristo’s latest single is her debut singing in German. The song 13 Schritte (13 Steps ) is a step in the new direction. To keep up with miss Capristo follow her on Instagram.

Taken from their debut E.P ‘Split The Bill’, Dog Toy explores the seldom-visited realm of carnal desire and sex toys. NIGHTFALL Premieres New Song, “Killing Moon”

Vocalist Efthimis Karadimas comments on the track: “‘Killing Moon’ is about losing yourself into horrifying thoughts. This is a fight you give every single day with depression. It is a real battlefield with you hiding in sloppy trenches, amid heavy bombardment. When the night falls, things become nastier; depression hits you harder in solitude. The burden is heavier when you are alone and all you need is peace of mind. You would beg for help, but it is like your voice is muted and none can hear you. None can understand the situation you are into. That makes you mad. Anger builds up. Faith collapses. You become prey to depression and your reactions turn violent. Only way out is that dim light of a guiding star you somehow trust it’s gonna save you. But is it true?”
