OUT TODAY: Jordana’s “Something To Say To You” LP On Grand Jury Music

The songs on Something To Say To You lean heavily into 90s pop and indie rock influences, but with the incorporation of cinematic strings, Jordana’s impeccable guitar work front and center, and the expansive production of NYC’s MELVV, Jordana’s new LP conveys the, rather incredibly fast, growth from the stripped down bedroom pop on her first album. With Something To Say To You To You Jordana continues to write immediately compelling, relatably raw personal songs about her struggles with emotional duress brought on by toxic relationships on the first single “Divine”, calling out abusers in the scene with the rage filled, yet incredibly catchy, “F**k You” and the deeply honest interrelationship struggles on “Decline”.

Chris Jones & The Night Drivers tell of heartbreak in “Quiet Click”

Hall, in recent years he’s kept it closer to home, with a steady stream of fresh, well-crafted originals that honor the tradition while offering thoughtfully contemporary updates.

For their third single since he and long-time Night Driver Mark Stoffel (mandolin, vocals) were joined by award-winning bassist and singer Marshall Wilborn and Grace Van’t Hof (banjo, ukelele, accordion, vocals), Jones serves up a perfect example of his winning way with a lonesome tale in “Quiet Click.”

The track follows the story of an ‘entity’ on the mission of conveying an important message to the human race, mainly, how the knowledge of this entity or spirit can change the fate of the world.

“With the New wave synth elements we incorporated, it reminded me of the relationship synths and sci-fi have and encouraged me to speak about something a little esoteric with the lyrics “(outer-dimensional entities and whatnot),” says lead vocalist and keyboardist, Brandon Mignacca.
