Looms Experience Clarity on Their New Single “Obvious”

Ekelle – ‘Why’

I am sharing “Why” with you today, a breakup song that isn’t the kind where you stay down forever. It’s about knowing that you deserve better and moving on.

Some people like to say forgive and forget, but I don’t believe in that. If someone has been awful to you, you should forgive yourself and treat the experience as a lesson. This should serve as an example as to how you shouldn’t be treated.

Turkish Composer Elif Yalvaç Shares New Single “Freak Box”

Elif explains the track title: “A Freak Box is a tool that generates basic sound waves. Just like a Game Boy, the sounds it generates are limited, but you can create a world of “noise” with them. This piece represents the “2020 side” of things. I was locked inside a room, and sometimes it did not feel safe. There were threads that, sometimes, felt bigger than the thread of the virus. Instead of being trapped in that room, I dove into the world of Freak Box and Game Boy, and they helped me survive. “Freak Box,” is a duet between the two tools. Both are portable “boxes,” but when I dive into them, I dive into a huge world. I also utilize microsound techniques in this piece — a technique I studied at MIAM — and the song’s ending connects with the rest of the album. It’s an eerie sound; the eerie side of our planet.“
