156/SILENCE RELEASES NEW SINGLE “NO ANGEL”
SharpTone Records’ newest signees, Pittsburgh’s breakout hardcore/metal band 156/SILENCE, have debuted a new single titled “No Angel” today. The track is found on the band’s forthcoming Deluxe Edition of their critically praised record “Irrational Pull,” that’s set for release on November 27th.

Wynonna Releases Heartfelt ‘Recollections’ EP Today, Listen Now
“I feel like I’m right back where I started,” says Wynonna Judd, “like I’m 18 all over again. When I sing these songs, it feels like I’m coming home.”
Indeed, ‘Recollections’ marks both a literal and a figurative homecoming for the GRAMMY-winning icon, who recorded much of the collection while quarantining on her Tennessee farm in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Forced off the road for the first time in years, she found herself reconnecting with her roots as she sang once again for the sheer joy of it, performing a series of loose and lively covers with her husband, former Highway 101 drummer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Cactus Moser.

Continuing his prolific start to 2020, Loco Dice unveils new three-track EP ‘Ya Free’, out 30th October on Digital + Vinyl via his own En Couleur label.
‘Ya Free’ opens with the squirming beats and rolling grooves of ‘Don’t Run’, a track that’s set to be released as a single on 9th October. Next up is the pulsating drums and understated funk of ‘Nasty Train’ before ‘Ya Free Just Move’ closes things out with an unrelenting acid bassline. It follows last month’s EP ‘The Sentence’ and August’s ‘D-Town Playaz’, Dice’s collaboration with Detroit legend Eddie Fowlkes.

“This song is special to me, not only because it’s my favorite song I made for this album, but also because working with Chris Brown has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. I remember hearing my first Chris Brown song; I was probably in the sixth grade. He’s the epitome of what it means to be a superstar, which is something I aspire to be. Working in the studio with him was pretty nuts too because I got to see his process and I got to hear how he does the very thing that has inspired me for more than two decades. It’s been extremely awesome to have the privilege to do this song with him and I hope y’all love it.”

The video for “Dead Man’s Game” was filmed in Southern Colorado by Javier Armendariz and looks like something out of a western B-movie with all the classic tropes of gunslingers, saloons, whiskey and poker games gone awry. The video was edited by Cristian Vega and harkens back to old Beat-Club videos with plenty of psychedelic imagery flashing behind as the band rips along at full tilt. “Somewhere between Motörhead’s surge, Radio Moscow’s blues, Deep Purple’s winding proto-prog and Tull’s embrace of the woodwind section, you get four minutes of brash heavy gallop, propulsive, catchy and freewheeling in the sense of having a badass van with curtains and magic sunglasses that make them see everything in shades of orange and brown.” says The Obelisk.

15-time Grammy winner and music icon Alicia Keys teamed up with fellow 5-time Grammy winner and acclaimed singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile to release the empowering new duet “A Beautiful Noise.” The song, a stripped-down, piano-driven track, was written by an all-female team of musicians including Keys and Carlile, along with Ruby Amanfu, Brandy Clark, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, Linda Perry and Hailey Whitters. I think that a lot of us experience relationships in our lives that begin as one thing and slowly evolve into something else.
Feelings of anxiety and uncertainty can sometimes come with these types of relationships as they grow; when one or both individuals find themselves feeling emotions that weren’t ‘part of the deal,’ unsure if the other is feeling the same way.
My new song, “Home,” was written at a time when my emotions were all over the place, and I think that energy really drives the song.

YEИDRY offers the following about the making of the song and video “Diablo”: I was in LA when I recorded this song, and during dinner one night I was approached by ‘that guy’ in a flashy sports car who was being aggressive and insisted on paying for my meal. When recording the song, I thought about that feeling, wanted to turn the tables, and be the powerful evil aggressor.” The video was shot in Turin, Italy towards the end of the lockdown where she was quarantining to be close to her mother.
