JESSE MAC CORMACK – Unveils “Let It Go / Incomplete” | New album out 2021

Jesse Mac Cormack is keeping busy during these strange times and is thrilled to unveil today two brand new songs titled “Let It Go” and “Incomplete.” These fresh tracks follow the release of the single “LBTA” last June, as well as the “NOW RMX” EP, a collection of remixes done by CRi, Ryan Playground and Jesse himself, from his award-winning album Now.

About the new material, Jesse shares the stories behind his songs: “Let go of the things you can’t change. Two individuals have entangled themselves in a relationship that from the outside is clearly based on manipulation and control. What can you do? After such a long time, you wonder if they can still remember what feeling free feels like.”

Henrik Lindstrand’s album Nordhem out now

Much of the Nordhem’s dual themes of family and nostalgia draw as much from Lindstrand’s life as from poetic literature. His inspiration came variously from a small grove near his childhood house to a fantasy novel his mother read to him as a child, and which he in turn has read to his own son. A string of singles preceded its release: “Dungen,” “Hallonlandet,” “Stora Huset” and most recently “Jum-Jum.”

Grace Gillespie – The most gentle of my songs thus far – “The Child”

I wrote “The Child” to console myself in my 28th year on earth, this year. When I was born, my mother was 28 and some strange part of me thought that I would have a child aged 28, or at least hold some kind of significance to that year. It turns out that this particular year has brought with it the COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit, and my own personal discovery that I had become somewhat of an anxious wreck.

Still Corners Share New Track “Crying”

Written during the pandemic, Tessa from the band says of the track: “The only constant in life is change, this song is about a breakup during a difficult time but it’s also about coping with a fast-moving, uncertain world. Artist: Ato-Mik – EP: Just Watch

‘Just Watch’ speaks to fake friends and false prophets as it is easy to be mislead by people who don’t have your best intentions in mind. People tend to just watch and talk behind peoples backs when they are trying to do something different. Until that said person takes off leaving all the non-beleivers and nay sayers behind who eventually become fans as to say they once knew them. Sometimes no-one seems to cares about you until its too late.

Joshua Van Tassel Releases “Shadows Smile For You” Video, Album Out Now on Backward Music

Here’s a quote from Josh on the track: “Shadows Smile For You” is a piece written for my son, who has a great conversational relationship with shadows. A shadow can be seen as a companion, a follower, a guide, or a dark reflection of yourself. The video features dancer and choreographer Kate Holden exploring the intimacy and mystery of light in relation to three body parts moving very slowly, extremely close up.

Heather Porcaro shares new song “All Hands On Deck,” a homage to the obstacle of self-acceptance

Heather Porcaro’s latest single “All Hands on Deck” is a rallying cry for community and creativity in the face of never ceasing challenges. Porcaro’s clever writing reflects years spent in the works, paying homage to the obstacle of self-acceptance through a lighthearted lens: “I’m not who I once was, I’m kind of on the run,” she sings with unabashed vulnerability. Sultry vocals and layered instrumentals balance a playfulness with Porcaro’s mature perspective, brilliantly reflecting the common desire, young or old, to be seen.

Kat Duma – New Single: ‘System’

The message is whatever you interpret it to be. Lyrically it feels very of-the-moment and while that wasn’t my intention, it does grapple with a sense of uncertainty – it being both fearful and liberating.

FARER: Dutch doom/noise trio premiere new song “Asulon”

FARER create an imposing discord of severe, caustic bass textures, harrowing vocals and winding drums. The band, featuring members of Ortega, was originally founded as MENHIR in 2013, but chose FARER as their new moniker mid 2019, after spending two and a half years of writing and recording their debut record “Monad”. By taking time to further explore the possibilities of being a band with two bass players and the absence of a guitar, the record exhibits the bands evolution into a new entity thoroughly. Meaning, carefully crafted, drawn-out, oppressive and compelling songs.
