Frankie and The Studs Release New Single/Video “(Not Your) Victim”

Los Angeles-based rock band, Frankie and The Studs, are unleashing their killer new single/video “(Not Your) Victim.” The new single is out everywhere today via their newly inked deal with Australian label Punktured Media.

To put it simply, Frankie and The Studs rock like hell. They’re a mix of dirty converse, and messy black hair, slender hips and big kohl eyes, sexual tension and youthful verve. Already scoring opening slots for the iconic B-52’s, Billie Joe Armstrong’s The Longshot, and The Struts, Frankie and The Studs are defining rock n’ roll for a whole new generation of kids ready to smash culture to bits.

“NOW” comes hot on the heels of “Josslyn,” with over 70 million global audio streams. Released in March, it went viral via TikTok, landed on the Spotify U.S. Viral 50 Chart, and was added to the platform’s Pop Rising, Teen Party, Teen Beats, and Swag! playlists. Laced with the 20-year old pop singer’s signature poetic vulnerability and comedic vulgarity, the song mines a familiar vein, the protagonist’s discovery of her love interest’s infidelity.

Christian French releasing mesmerizing, introspective ‘good things take time’ EP on 9/18

The project encompasses both my personal life and life as a musician. I’ve realized life is going to throw you curveballs, and there’s no way to know what’s coming or how to perfectly deal with things. All you can do is your best in every situation and approach challenges optimistically. Be patient. What you’re going through will help you continuously grow and become a better version of yourself. That’s what life is about.”

To celebrate the upcoming release, the band shares their upbeat and heartfelt new single, “Friend Like You.” They explain, “There’s a lot of nods to our longest closest friends in here, (you got my back since 92, ride or die, made up our own language, etc). Simply, it’s just about friends that you can always count on and will be there for you no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen them last. We need our ride or die crew more than ever!”

With the release of “Amigo” Lous sends an invitation for dance, resistance and resilience. “Life is not a free ride” (“La vie ne fait pas de cadeau”) but Lous gives it a glorious celebration. The Replacements Premiere New Video For Can’t Hardly Wait From Upcoming Pleased To Meet Me Reissue

In advance of the upcoming deluxe edition of The Replacements’ Pleased To Meet Me, the band has premiered a new video for their classic track from the album, “Can’t Hardly Wait.” The new clip pulls from the same vintage black and white footage from 1987, now upgraded to HD resolution, that was famously used for two other videos from the album, while using newly remastered audio from the deluxe edition. The footage was initially shot for “The Ledge,” but after this video was infamously banned from MTV for objectionable song content, the band re-used it for their follow-up video (“Alex Chilton”). Soulburn Announces New Album Noa’s D’ark

“A symbiosis of the biblical tale and the mayhem of the currents inherent each present; a mirror of realities. Yes, a play of words, and even more so, a decay of births. So please indulge, feel free to dare wrapping your own mind around, for it for sure is, in the very core of its essence, a vessel in honor of the strength and the art, of chaos and freedom: NOA’S D’ARK.

Applied with the pleasure of pressure, a Satanic gesture if you wish – a clash – a crash of narratives of mundane hollowness, of empty parasites sucking on the big nothing. A lucid statement in praise of the ever-lurking darkness that surrounds us, drinking it, eating it, in triumph over boredom – to thrive. To exist through meaning brought to the surface by one’s own revelations rather than just by leaning into traps of false acceptance or flat expectations. To grow some horns that is, an existentialist beast – come feast!

UnoTheActivist + Holly release new single, ‘Amusement’

Portuguese producer Holly might have set records in 2017, when he released over 600 tracks, culminating in him winning the producer battle at the Goldie Awards. Fast forward to 2020, and though his frenetic output might have slowed, his impact on contemporary dance culture is growing.

Dark Skies and Holy Grail smashes together Holly’s spheres of influence to produce a singular sonic blueprint that weaves through hip-hop, bass, drum n bass, trap, breaks and noise. It’s tender, but unflinching, pitching moments of beauty next to raw power. The mixtape speaks to Holly’s feelings while producing the record, many of his dreams were coming true, but were being realized, and written, under dark and uncertain skies. It’s a sentiment that feels universal right now and a body of work that fits the yoyoing nature of our everyday life.

Pulsing, throbbing, and 100% TOTAL PUNK!!!
