Comethazine Puts His Team on His Back in “We Gone Win” Video

Comethazine built a huge fanbase on his own, never relying on big name features or producers. Dropping his lone wolf mentality and putting on for his Hench Mafia, Comethazine shares “We Gone Win,” his new music video. Eschewing the high octane trap that he usually favors, “We Gone Win” finds Comethazine rapping atop a soulful piano loop. Even as the instrumental provides a softer sonic palette, Comethazine maintains his signature snarling intensity, threatening to come for anyone who stops him and his crew from achieving their goals: “Voices tellin’ me I gotta do ’em in/Gotta be the first to spin/If it’s water we gon’ win.”

Aalok Bala shares transportive third single “The Hive”

The Queens-raised, LA-based producer, songwriter and visual artist continues to build upon the utopian, otherworldly vision offered on previous singles, “Moon Juice” and “Sueño.” With warping electronics, synth chords and birdsong lingering in the background, “The Hive” builds hypnotically – almost imperceptibly – to a spiraling crescendo. “Don’t go too far, when nothing can save you” Aalok sings, her spellbinding voice trailing off into the ether as she sweeps you along with her on her journey towards transcendence. By the end, you’re transformed, feeling as though some higher plane has opened up to you. But you’re not quite sure how you got from there to here; such is the power and mystery of Aalok Bala’s music.

Jaah SLT & Young Nudy Share Soothing New “Right Now” Single

Switching up his flow to suit each instrumental, Charlotte rhymer Jaah SLT is impatiently waiting for his turn to blow. Confidently asserting his unwillingness to wait much longer, Jaah shares “Right Now,” his latest single. A vibey and meditative trap track, “Right Now” derives its power from a burbling electric keyboard riff and an off-kilter hi-hat pattern. Undeterred by the laid-back atmosphere, Jaah restlessly packs in syllables between snare snaps, while guest rapper Young Nudy paints around the edges of the beat with his auto-tuned drawl.

Remembering those who have departed, leaving everything behind, in X Alfonso’s new single Retrato del 92

With a touch of nostalgia and the particular beat of a bolero, which contrast with sophisticated electronic elements, the new track Retrato del 92 (Portrait of 92) was released by Cuban artist X Alfonso on September 18. The single, from his latest recorded album INSIDE Volumen II, shares some of the various life experiences of the artist, his fellow countrymen, and of his friends, some who, in spite of uncertainty and doubts, decided to leave the island, and of others who chose to stay and face the difficult life facing them there.

After a career spanning nearly thirty years, X is considered one of the foremost artists in Cuba today, thanks to his musical productions that are a combination of thoughtful lyrics and a very special blend of sounds, which are readily apparent in this latest release Retrato del 92. This distinct musical style has firmly established him as an avant-garde creator.

Introducing Artist Len Dreams, His Stunning Music, And His Undeniable Passion, To The World In 2020.

With the Covid-19 pandemic forcing the world into isolation & his future work prospects uncertain to say the least, Len seized on the very last opportunity to get a flight out of Amsterdam and go live with his newfound love in Portugal, right before everything shut down. Essentially packing up what he could overnight & leaving the rest behind, he left for the beauty of Portugal, the potential of love, and to ride out the lockdown in the safety of one of the world’s most scenic & serene places. While rediscovering his connection to music wasn’t part of the original intention, it fast became his passion once more as he started to experiment with his lover’s hundred-dollar microphone & basic set-up to create cover tunes. And as most musicians will tell you, once the inspiration starts to strike, it takes monumental effort to stop it – and also like most musicians, Len found no reason to not seize the momentum and see where it would lead him. Soon enough, he was reaching out across the globe to find exciting ways to collaborate.

Written by Clark, Marla Cannon and Hailey Whitters, the song was created in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with Clark and Carlile collaborating remotely while working from their respective quarantines in Nashville and Washington state. Reflecting on the song, Clark shares, “For me, ‘Same Devil’ is about how we all have different paths, different problems, different addictions, different beliefs that all take us to the same exact places. I really was drawn to the dark and raw quality of the idea. What Brandi Carlile brought to the song production wise and then vocally made it take on an even darker and deeper tone. It feels explosive to me.”
