NYC gay alt folk artist Prince Johnny shares emotive and raw single “Sex Party”

I went on a solo trip to Iceland and then Amsterdam June 2018. I had a couple of weeks in between jobs and wanted to “live it up.” So I got cheap tickets and a cheap Airbnb and packed my bags and left.

I have an ache that’s been following me for as long as I can remember. This idea that my life is passing me by and I haven’t “lived” enough. It’s that same things as in the last demo. I’m “young & beautiful” now – shouldn’t I get all my experiences in now before I shrivel and fall off the tree? I want the experiences, I want the thrill, I want to “feel everything” like Fiona says…but something about how I’m approaching it is not serving me.

Formed in their spare bedroom in Arkansas before moving to Los Angeles, they started out with looping live drums through effects, with Lorie playing bass and keys and Derek rounding things out with a melody and guitar after looping some sort of distorted beat.
