AVOID Premiere New Single “Song About James”
“We’re so excited to share our video for ‘Song About James’. This song has opened so many new doors for us. It’s really been a mind blowing experience. From being on the soundtrack of NASCAR HEAT 5, to debuting on Octane yesterday, and here unveiling the video on New Noise. We are thrilled to finally share this with our fans.”
Intense, fiery, and passionate are three words that could best describe Wasteland, from top to bottom. Tracks like “U Don’t Know Me” and “Gucci” are fast and furious, while “Anotha One” and “Live Your Life” portray a different side of Sic WithIt — one more attuned to milky melodies and smooth aesthetics. The LP covers not only Sic WithIt’s unlikely rise to prominence but also the mental makeup that drives his everyday thought processes. It’s the kind of thought-provoking listen that is deeper than the barks of the raps and melodies. There’s something new to glean at every corner.
“The song actually came together pretty quickly,” says lead vocalist Charlie Greene, “We were writing with our good friend Nick Bailey – he came in with the line “Closer to the Sun” and I immediately connected with it. The melody for the chorus came first and had this massive rock energy that’s shaped the rest of the song. I think we tracked like 4-5 guitar hooks for the song and narrowed it down to one for the record. It was actually the last song written for our next project, I think we wrote it only a few weeks prior to hitting the studio.”

David Newton & Thee Mighty Angels Share New Single “In Love & War”
“‘I’m not normally a hippy/spiritual type, more of a punk rocker haha, but I had a dream a few years ago that I bought the new single by Pet Shop Boys, one of my long time favorite bands btw, and it was called “In Love And War”. Crazy thing is I actually woke up with the song and melody in my head so on an impulse I grabbed my phone and sang it into there. I played it back a few days later and realized that it wasn’t actually that bad so I went into my studio and recorded what became “In Love And War” (by me, not Pet Shop Boys). In fact, there is actually a reference at the end of the second verse: ‘Neil & Chris, now take your cue, what would you do if this happened to you.’ – David Newton” – Earbuddy

Artist: Holy Smoke – Track: Is This America

Driving bass and stomping drums. Potent lyrics and vocals that question America’s “Land of the Free” status and deliver an “I can’t breathe” message loud and clear.
