Practice shares new single + video: “The Afterlife”
NYC-based dance-pop artist, Michael Tapper, who was the previous drummer of We Are Scientists, Bishop Allen, Fool’s Gold and Yellow Ostrich, has a new project: Practice. Today, he announces his forthcoming album, Not A Game, and shares his first single and video, “The Afterlife.” The song acts as the counterpart — the yin to the yang — of previously released single, “Sleep In My Clothes,” which was about sinking into the melancholy of isolation. “The Afterlife” is about embracing life the way it is and the way it’s not.
The Midnight Preachers Release Single + Video for “Pusher Woman” via The Label Group/INgrooves
Irish rock band The Midnight Preachers released their new single titled “Pusher Woman” to all digital outlets via The Label Group/INgrooves. The band also released the official music video for the single that was drawn by the band’s very own Emer McLaughlin on her iPad.
Declan J Donovan Releases “Perfectly Imperfect” via Interscope Records
“‘Perfectly Imperfect’ is about the people who make your life special and don’t even realise it,” Donovan explains of the new release. “Everyone has someone who they couldn’t imagine a world without, someone who lights up their days but has no self-belief or confidence. In conjunction with the announcement, Lemos debuts “Different World” featuring Dwyer, which premiered on The FADER who call proclaim, “Billy Lemos has established himself as one of the Midwest’s brightest rising beatmakers. It’s a title he embraces on his forthcoming debut album Wonder, a tight but expansive collection of thrilling miniatures that fit together to form an endeavor of their own.” Lemos recalls, “I remember I went over to Danny’s apartment in 2019 and was just flipping through some of his demos until I heard the beginnings of this. I took what he already had and tried to flip it in a more electronic, IDM-esque direction. Danny’s bright vocal melodies on this are some of my favorite on my upcoming project and perfectly suit the beats overblown bassline.”

Zephaniah OHora Releases “We Planned To Have It All” – New Album ‘Listening To The Music’ Out 8/28
‘Listening To The Music’ was written and recorded in Zephaniah OHora’s adopted hometown of Brooklyn, NY where prior to the pandemic he curated the music and frequently performed at Brooklyn traditional country music epicenter, Skinny Dennis. The 12-track collection proves that great country music can come from anywhere. The recording was produced by Neal Casal (who would tragically pass away not long after mixing was completed) along with a virtuosic band, including guitarist John Lee Shannon, pedal steel guitarist Jon Graboff, keboardist Roy Williams, bassist Jeff Hill and drummer Arthur Vint along with special guests like Dori Freeman, Mickey Raphael and Norm Hamlet from Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard’s bands, respectively.

The “2020 Billboard Music Awards,” originally scheduled to air live on NBC from Las Vegas on April 29, was postponed due to the pandemic.
