For Stay Up, Stephanie the multi-instrumentalist takes to the camera himself for a live performance of his newest track. Taking cues from many of the minimalist music videos we have become used to since the coronavirus lockdown, this new clip sees the producer take up the full wealth of instrumentation at his disposal and create a layered live performance, alongside drummer Luke Seal, like no other.
Dubstylecs – ‘Your Smile’
Dubstylecs (Marcus Billström) is a Swedish electronic music writer with a twist. His Influences range from dance pioneers such as The Chemical Brothers, Danny Tenagli and Groove Armada to songwriters such as Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake. This dynamic pallet, combined with his preferred vehicle for songwriting; an old beatup Fender Jazz bass allows him to infuse moody melodies with steady beats to create dance with a warm element. Originally into rock, Marcus made the transition into the electronic music after discovering the unique energy of Dance during the early 1990’s in Valencia. He creates music with a variety of singers and instrumentalists fusing electronic and live instruments.

It tackles themes of a troubled life dealing with mental health issues and overcoming these, including anorexia and bulimia, heightened by his past work pressures in the high fashion industry. It addresses the time that these struggles led to a serious suicide attempt, leading to Aime being officially pronounced dead for several minutes, and a heart only beating with help from a machine for five days.

Ghost Liotta Releases New Single “i am thoughts”

Incorporating vintage and modular synths, live drums, and a pedal steel guitar, the project is a new collaboration between musicians and producers Christopher Wray (Butch Walker), Zac Rae (Death Cab For Cutie), John Spiker (Tenacious D), James McAlister (The National) — McAlister also contributed drums, programming, percussion and synths to three songs on Taylor Swift’s new album Folklore.

Vangelis Ziakas was born in Athens in 1986. At the age of 11 he took his first steps in music taking piano and guitar lessons. He has played with bands such as Lilith on Fire, Rusty Nails, Dirty Fusion, primarily in genres of heavy metal, hard rock, blues etc. In 2017 he formed Sleeping Dogs, a hard rock band who regularly play in live gigs and compose new songs to this day.

Maliibu Miitch has released a new single, “Let’s Be Honest.” It comes with a new video directed by Offjimmer in which the South Bronx rapper raps in an abandoned warehouse and surrounded by mannequins.
On the slow-burning track, the South Bronx rapper lashes out at her haters and fake friends who are jealous of her success. “Let’s just fuckin’ be honest, you ain’t nothing but a fan of mines,” she spits on the chorus. “Let’s just keep it a buck that you ain’t never been a friend of mines.”

Naked Giants are set to release The Shadow on August 21st, 2020 via New West Records. The 11-song set was produced by Chris Funk of the Decemberists and follows the Seattle, WA-based trio’s Green Fuzz EP (2019) and debut album SLUFF (2018). Steadily building up their reputation as a tremendous live act, Naked Giants were named Seattle’s best live band by The Seattle Times at the end of 2018 and Rolling Stone named the band one of the “30 Best Artists We Saw” during SXSW that year as well. The trio spent most of the past two years pulling double duty as both members of the Car Seat Headrest live band and also supporting each Car Seat Headrest performance with their own set as Naked Giants as well.

Bad Religion Release “Faith Alone 2020”
Acclaimed Los Angeles band Bad Religion have just released a radically reimagined version of their 1990 humanist anthem “Faith Alone.” The re-recording uses an uncharacteristic orchestral arrangement to further accentuate the song’s remarkably relevant lyrics.
