Swedish dream pop artist Rebecka Reinhard shares her latest single Whale via Crowds and Power on May 12th.
A subversive indie-rock song, Whale demonstrates Rebeckas ability as a songwriter to make the world stop with her music. Comprising of distorted guitars and loose drums, Whale feels both recognisable and entirely new. Paired with the delicate and dreamy production is Rebeckas distinct and punchy vocal, as well as her killer melodies, that unfurl towards the chorus. Lyrically the song which is both personal and prescient, speaks to our fractured socio-political climate and our current isolated situation.

Ahead of his album release this Friday, Moses Sumney shares a new song from his double album græ. ‘Bless Me’ is a beautiful final offering from the album, featuring Sumney’s signature vocals soaring through a slowly rising cascade of instrumentals. The track follows previous singles ‘Cut Me,’ ‘Virile,’ ‘Polly,’ and ‘Conveyor’ (which Sumney debuted in the form of a Moog Sound Lab session) and arrives after his COLORS performance of ‘Cut Me.’
Out this Friday via Jagjaguwar Records, græ is a conceptual patchwork about greyness and expands upon the sonic universe built in Sumney’s critically-acclaimed debut LP Aromanticism and subsequent EP Black In Deep Red, 2014. The album features collaborations with a diverse array of contributors and is Sumney’s first work to be written in his new home of Asheville, North Carolina.

Papills was signed to COMEDIA in 2018 and during the last two years the Swedish indie label has released five singles the band, all featured on the new album Too Hot For May. The singles – Played, Morning View, Happy Fish, California Surfin’ and Too Hot For May – gained interest in Japan and after signing a license deal the Japanese Osaka based label Rimeout Recordings last month pre-released Papills album on CD in Japan (featuring two exclusive bonus tracks), two weeks ahead of last week’s worldwide release.
