Sons of Raphael – AKA brothers Loral and Ronnel Raphael – have unveiled an official music video for their new song “Siren Music.” The single follows the release of “He Who Makes the Morning Darkness” as the second single from their upcoming and yet-to-be-announced debut album, due this year via Because Music (Christine and the Queens, Justice, Metronomy).
Bleach Day Share New Single “bbs in the grass”
The band elaborated on the track’s meaning: “‘bbs in the grass’ is the end of a cycle that comprises the full album as if always. A series of musical movements erupting into existence, the track is propelled by a multitrack orchestra of driving percussion, thick bass, hailing piano notes, and twinkling Wurlitzer. “bbs in the grass” is reflective yet forward looking. “It is the truth learned at the end of a long introspection. It is celebratory, but accepting of the fact that you’ll soon be back in this very same spot – ending the cycle, so it can begin again.”

Sacramento’s own Dance Gavin Dance have announced the release of their much-anticipated ninth full-length studio album, Afterburner, on Friday, April 24 via Rise Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Kris Crummett (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Mayday Parade) and Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Bad Wolves), the LP is a landmark mission statement for the band and encompasses DGD energy past, present, and future. Doom Flamingo & Nobide Collaborate for “Telepathy” Remix
Denver, CO and Charleston, SC – Live-electronic trio Nobide has collaborated with Doom Flamingo on a remix of the latter’s single, “Telepathy.” As Doom Flamingo keyboardist Ross Bogan explains, the intention for the original version of “Telepathy” was simple in that “We just want to make people dance. It’s a ritual.” In that light, Nobide hit the nail on the head with their “Telepathy” remix, weaving a new EDM identity into the song’s DNA.

Italian melancholic death/doom act Tethra’s upcoming third album, Empire of the Void, is less than a month away from its release date. Metal Italia debuts the video for the 6th track, “A Light Year Breath,” that features Gogo Melone (Aeonian Sorrow) as the guest vocals. The album drops this March 20 on Black Lion Records on both digipak CD and digital formats.
