BLAME BABY Share New Single/Lyric Video to “THE FLOOR” Available Digitally Today

LA-based indie rock power trio Blame Baby announce the release today of their first single of 2020 “The Floor.” Another slice of deliriously propulsive punk-inflected rock, the follow-up to their debut single “Headcase,” showcases the band looking inward and confronting a severe case of existential anxiety. Co-founder/lead singer Jesse Johnson dissects the shallow, covetous lifestyle from the viewpoint of someone squarely in the sights of the privileged and makes a noble attempt to throttle those feelings and move beyond it all. All of this is wrapped up in the ultra-tight backup of bandmates Omar D. Brancato on bass and Matt Tucci on drums. Produced by Frederick Thaae (Kate Nash, Saint Motel, The Glorious Sons), “The Floor” is a timeless example of youthful angst wrapped up in a dizzying thrill ride of a track. “The Floor” will be available digitally on all platforms today.

Bradley Arthur Maxwell Shares New Video For “Alone” | Single Out Now Across DSPs

The music video was shot entirely on a smartphone to amplify the theme of isolation that the hyper over use of our phones can often cause. Footage was captured across multiple cities, over a four month time period and is intended as an observational piece to reflect society and where most of our focus currently lies – in our devices rather than with the world and those around us. It is stylistically voyeuristic yet like a mirror, provides a look at ourselves. A reminder for us to look up a little more often.

DREAMER BOY RELEASES VIDEO FOR “PUPPY DOG”

“’Puppy Dog’ is a moment in time for me,” Dreamer Boy told The FADER. “I opened every show of the Clairo tour with it and the release came right in the middle of my first project and my second. I wanted this song and now the video we’ve made to be a world of its own. I want this portrayal of Dreamer Boy to feel like a specific character unique to this song. Everything from the wardrobe, props and extras were intentional in building that recognition. I was inspired by 90s fisheye videos and Wes Anderson’s trademark character/wardrobe design. The masks were the first idea and everything started to make sense from there. This was such a fun video to make with my best friends playing the supporting roles of the extras and my right hand creative partner Adam shooting it.”

HUMAN IMPULSE: “Error Era” Sees Premiere Through Heavy Blog Is Heavy

Lyrics suggesting there are declining generations touting old beliefs and influences that are beginning to fade. A bit of hope in our current world.”
