Gavin Luke – ‘In Search of Home’

Though it may not be the type of music that everyone puts at the top of their go-to playlist, it is hard to believe that classical music doesn’t instigate a connection with every listener. Whether that association be sadness, contentment, anger or euphoria, the emotive qualities of classical music are inevitable – whatever the preferred genre.

Howlin’ Circus – Track: Run the Wrong Way

Howlin’ Circus put passion and vulnerability at the heart of their rock and roll. Performances at UK festivals and across North America have wowed audiences, with the songs serving to remind us of what brings us together. All it takes is a spark to set our souls on fire and Howlin’ Circus have been coming to shows with plenty of lighter fluid. Shortly after the legalization of cannabis in Canada, the band became part of local folklore, handing out hundreds of pre-rolled joints at a concert, becoming the first to do so. Black Slate Return With More Revolutionary Reggae

One of the most important UK bands of the 70s and 80s has returned with new material, a newly augmented line-up and a new live show to reaffirm to fans old and new just why they made such on impact on the British musical landscape. Formed in Hackney in 1972, Black Slate were the first completely homegrown UK reggae band, utilising their own sound system and dub plates, rather than the traditional method of using existing plates from Jamaica. At a time of huge racial tension and regular clashes between police and the black community, their single, Sticks Man, appealed to communities to lead by example.
