Today, Los Angeles born, Inland Empire raised rapper Maxo is back to share a new video. “Strongside” is one of the most striking moments on his debut album Lil Big Man, released earlier this year via Def Jam. The accompanying visual is directed by Devlin Claro-Resetar and is a beautifully shot black and white video starring Maxo and Liv.e. “Strongside” has a timelessly buttery sound, reminiscent of West Coast rap without feeling overly nostalgic or dated, and its video is appropriately classic in its settings: a bowling alley and an open park.

The highly anticipated daily music lineups have been announced for the second annual Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, which returns to MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, May 15, Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2020.

A first of its kind female-led music and entertainment platform, Femme It Forward first launched as an event series in April 2019. Since then, it has produced over 20 shows and panels across the U.S. that feature all-women line ups from chart toppers like Cardi B, Jill Scott and Jorja Smith to newcomers like Kiana Lede and Nicole Bus. A portion of every ticket sold was donated directly to charities supporting women in music education, career development, empowerment, homelessness, domestic abuse and incarceration.

LA-Based Singer Songwriter MICHAEL COLTON Shares Poignant New Ballad “BROTHER”

Singer/songwriter Michael Colton is set to release a new single titled “Brother” that both pays homage to a trusted family member and that also serves as a ballad inspired by a future son. It’s a poignant track that shows a softer side to the blues rock troubadour. Having garnered significant accolades for his more country inflected work in the past, Colton has streamlined his sound which seamlessly blends rock and blues traditions and is anchored by his striking vocals and serious guitar chops. Produced by noted film and television composer/producer Brett Boyett, “Brother” features Colton on vocals and guitar. Producer Brett Boyett brought a groups of studio musicians to round out the production. Song will be available digitally December 13 and an EP will be released in the coming year.
