BLACK TUSK Announce Headlining U.S. Dates for 2020
Savannah, GA swamp rockers BLACK TUSK will be kicking off the new year with a headlining U.S. tour, in which they will be supported by ALL HELL. The trek will start on January 7 in Athens, GA and will conclude on January 17 in Tampa, FL.
The Wild Feathers Debut New Single “Jacksonville To Jackson Hole”
This morning, The Wild Feathers share their new single “Jacksonville To Jackson Hole,” a song by Eric Church and Casey Beathard which has never before been recorded. “Eric is one of our favorite songwriters, so having the opportunity to take one of his songs and making it our own is huge for us,” says Ricky Young of the band. “We’re especially excited about this new song because it captures the highway in a way that everyone can relate to.” The song is a reflection of time spent on tour, and appropriate for The Wild Feathers, road warriors who have opened for Bob Seger and Brothers Osborne this year. “Jacksonville To Jackson Hole” was debuted along with an interview on Storme Warren’s morning show on SiriusXM’s The Highway (ch.56).

Los Lobos Premiere Video For “Christmas And You” From New Holiday Album
As the holiday season officially kicks off, Los Lobos have shared the first music video from their first-ever Christmas album Llegó Navidad, which is out now on Rhino. The visual piece accompanies “Christmas and You,” Los Lobos’ lone original on the twelve-track record, written by the band’s David Hidalgo and Louie Pérez. Llegó Navidad also shines a light on regional classics from across the Spanish-speaking world, from Veracruz to Panama to the Texas border. Since Los Lobos have spent the past five decades as such passionate ambassadors for the East LA community, it’s only natural they set the “Christmas and You” video against scenes from their Boyle Heights neighborhood, captured during the recording of Llegó Navidad at local studio Nest Recorders.

Minneapolis indie juggernauts, Solid Gold, are officially back with the single “Towns.” The song marks the first taste of new music from the trio of Zach Coulter, Matt Locher, and Adam Hurlburt since 2012’s critically-acclaimed Eat Your Young. The band has spent the past several years focusing on several other high-profile collaborations (Coulter with GAYNGS and Taggart and Rosewood, and Hurlburt with Aero Flynn, GAYNGS and Har Mar Superstar). Placing Fay’s haunting, whispered vocals and smoky, jazzy keyboard playing in a dark, warm cave of warped synths and glitchy beats, these eight songs evoke an isolated and dreamlike inner world during a period of intense uncertainty and personal turmoil. The title track was written in 2013 while Fay was living in Boston – a mile from the site of the marathon bombing – and struggling with her immigration status. Other songs narrate a nightmare during an eclipse (Bunny Bastard), a romantic encounter in the middle of Hurricane Sandy (Before/After Sandy), and an escape from heartbreak by diving into the work of Salvador Dali (Atmospheric Zebra). Taken together, the record dreams of the dissolution of boundaries between beings, foreseeing all of us merging together and back into nature.
