iskwē Shares New Single/Video + Album

Sometimes we see all we need to when we first meet someone new, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we keep our distance. “Night Danger” is a song about these warning signs, the delicious and dangerous, and how sometimes, even though we see them all, it’s like the universe has its own plan for us and we are simply the pawns riding on a merry-go-round without a clear end in sight.

Sleepy Hallow Cooks Up Like Walter, Escapes Danger Like Jesse in “Breakin Bad (Okay)” Vid

A nimble melodist and a visceral storyteller, Sleepy Hallow arrived fully-formed at the forefront the Brooklyn drill scene. Forever staying a step ahead of the Opps and the Feds, Sleepy shares “Breakin Bad (Okay),” his new video. Produced by Great John, who cooks up a hard-hitting track with crisp Spanish-influenced guitar and skeletal percussion, “Breaking Bad” is an ideal canvas for stick talk, as Sleepy goes bar-for-bar with Sheff G to establish his street bonafides: “Cook up like I’m Walter, should’ve been on Breaking Bad,” rhymes Sleepy. Echoing the spirit of Walter & Jesse’s shambling early days in the acclaimed AMC series, Sleepy and Sheff eke out an epic escape in the new video, sneaking out their brownstone window and jumping in a Wraith to evade an aggressive and armed SWAT team. “Breakin Bad (Okay)” is the latest video from DON’T SLEEP, following last month’s breezily melodic “I Get Luv” (over 200k YouTube views).

China Tiger share ‘Belly Button’ music video

Directed by Andy Gray and Tom Bell, the band’s footsteps are traced through humdrum suburbia, to city life in Marrickville, Newtown, Kings Cross, Mascot and Cronulla, through to the beautiful landscapes the band lived amongst like the Royal National Park and Cape Solander. Jake Styles (vocals, guitar) says the video is “effectively the world around us. Every snapshot is relevant to our lives. Its where we grew up near Cronulla, its where we surfed and skated as kids, the night shots are where we started to first play in the city as teenagers before lockout laws gave way to high rise developments.”

TALES OF THE TOMB Posts New Video ‘Dyatlov Pass Incident’

The band explains the story behind the song:

“9 hikers disappeared in what is now called the Dyatlov Pass in Russia. This incident had inspired many different conspiracies trying to explain what happened to the 9 hikers that went missing and were later found dead in the mountain range. Because there was a random unidentified scrap of clothing that looked to come from a military uniform found at the sight of the event. We are taking the angle put forth that the hikers unknowingly stumbled across a military weapons test and met their demise. Basically, they were there at the wrong place at the wrong time and the government was forced to cover up their deaths that the weapons test caused. There was evidence of the hikers ripping the tent from the inside and one of the hikers was found with extensive radiation burns, unclothed, fingernails and hands ripped apart from what was later determined to be from trying to climb the surrounding trees and much more. The song is written push-pull between the chaos of stumbling into this extension event vs. a seemingly normal journey. This was the last song written and displays the direction we are trying to move into from our past EP.”

SYR DARIA Continue The Circus With ‘Tears Of A Clown’

The themes are just like the band, varied and limitless; exploring the complexities of human psychology, analyzing particular daily lapses of time and even contemporary sci-fi literature. Tears Of A Clown is a truly powerful album, a wonderful mix of traditional metal while leaning towards modern musical styles.

Syr Daria have given the best of themselves with their new album. The production was especially coordinated to bring power and clarity to Tears Of A Clown. The album is certainly more percussive and direct without losing the melodic touch of the group that can be found throughout the 10 tracks of this excellent new album.
