Genre-defying Lush Puppy just might be the next best thing coming from The Netherlands. After stomper ‘Wear Me Out’, lighthearted single ‘Ms. Grey’ and ominous track ‘Sabotage Me’, Lush Puppy is here again with guns blazing on new single Bitch! All four singles are on debut EP Clickspawn.

Dublin Duo Hare Squead Connect with Jay Prince for an Introspective New Single

Bringing an unpredictable energy and deep tunefulness, Irish hip-hop group Hare Squead don’t sound like anything on either side of the Atlantic. Delivering a laid-back jam about staying grounded, Hare Squead shares “Meeting With Myself,” their new single. Defined by syncopated organ swells and jittering hi-hats, the new song highlights the complementary talents of the Hare Squead duo, as Tony Konstone smoothly sings a humble chorus and Lilo Blues brings a distorted auto-tune for his rapidfire verse. Rounded out by a verse from Soulection affiliate Jay Prince, “Meeting With Myself” finds the three emcees stress the importance of trusting your own instincts over the fickle opinions of hangers-on: sings Tony Konstone, “Sometimes you gotta deep that shit yourself/When you got no one to come and tell you yeh yeh/That’s why I try keeping to myself dawg/Ain’t no one fuck with you like yourself yeh yeh yeh.”

Prolific Synth-pop Artist Paul Jacks Drops B-Sides EP, “Drama Club”

“Prolific Alaskan artist, Paul Jacks has been a stalwart of authentic 80s synth-pop. His sophomore solo album, In Other Words came out earlier this year but he wants to end the year on a bang releasing a b-sides EP called Drama Club. Inspired by the 1993 film of the same name, “Fire in the Sky” features shimmering synths that sound straight out of season 1 of Stranger Things. Much like the movie, the track deals with a loss of innocents; Jacks sings ‘I was just a boy/too young to be sure how much of me died that night’ over the mid-tempo rock groove.” – Surviving the Golden Age

On top of that, their latest single ‘Bum Hour’ has recently been bumped up to b-list on 6 Music, which follows their a-listing for ‘Hollow Thing’ and further still, their previous two singles before that were also B-listed. Earlier this year the band had their first appearance at Glasto, played a blistering live session for Jack Saunders, played a packed out album launch in a Camden kebab shop and before all of this went on a 2-week sold out tour with IDLES (inc. a sold out Electric Ballroom show). Similarly, all of the album reviews so far have been incredibly positive too.

LIFE Share Video For “Excites Me”

The animated, stop-motion video was directed by Manchester/York based artist Callum Scott-Dyson who says: “For ‘Excites Me’, we really wanted to do something manic and full of energy to match the pace of the track, while also develop a loose narrative that echoed some of the ideas in the song and lyrics. What started out as a more vague thing based around wanting to escape boring situations and explode with pent up rage, became a bit of a character piece about a man stuck in a boring job with lots of mundane things going on, who has to do something crazy to escape this life. Then the narrative gets crazier and crazier as his inner demon comes out and he grows into a rage filled monster.”
