DEVILDRIVER To Embark on Co-Headliner w/ Static-X for ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’ 20th Anniversary & Memorial Tribute to Wayne Static
California heavy metal juggernauts DEVILDRIVER are hitting the road in North America! The band is going out on a co-headliner with Static-X for the ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’ 20th Anniversary & Memorial Tribute to Wayne Static. The fall leg of the tour kicks off November 8th in Austin, TX and concludes for DevilDriver on December 8th in Colorado Springs, CO. Born in Kedah, Malaysia and raised primarily in Kuala Lumpur, Yuna now splits her time between Malaysia and Los Angeles (where she recorded Rouge). “I’m a Muslim singer-songwriter, but I never saw myself as that,” she explains. “That label became more obvious to me as I moved to LA…it was really cool that everyone I met supported the fact that I do my own thing and don’t sacrifice my identity for the music.”

After released three EPs in three years ( ‘EP 1’, ‘Moonshiner’ and ‘Old Songs From Beyond’ ) and then an EP compilation last year, French acid-fuzz/psych/rock/stoner duet Electric Jaguar Baby is about to release its debut full-length album planned for a physical/digital release on October 25th through El Diablo Records and Slice of Wax Records (Medicine Boy, etc.).
The list of artists who can [capably] play two instruments at once is short, but Donna is on it, and pulls it all off effortlessly. By design, everything they do in their live show is executed live—no loops, no samples, no backing tracks. Their goal is simple but lofty: execute a full trio sound in time with just eight limbs. This makes the band as much about their passion for their gear as they are about their colossal sound. Many of Diane’s lyrics entwine the personal and political, often weaving together topics of sexuality, gender roles, and political crisis. Their debut album is a full-force barrage of emotional expressions of deep pain, intense sexuality, and personal and political power. Diane’s voice frequently shifts from throat-wrenched whispers to explosive ranting, the melodic line often warping under the weight of her words.
The Sunshine of Your Youth was released in 2015 to glowing coverage from SPIN, Relix, Paste, WXPN, Philly Voice and more. The debut also saw the band collaborate with lauded comedy site Funny or Die for their hilarious “A Million Ways” music video. At the end of 2016, following a heavy tour cycle, singer & principal songwriter Joseph Haller put the band on hiatus citing mental and physical exhaustion. “I was at a point where I could not continue to tour. And even if I could, I was not in a state where I would have been able to do the songs from Sunshine any justice.” noted Haller.

Mark Korven shares blood-curdling new track from new A24 film ‘The Lighthouse’
Milan Records, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks, will be releasing THE LIGHTHOUSE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Gemini and Genie-Award winning composer MARK KORVEN (Cube, The Witch, Into the Tall Grass) this Friday, October 18. The soundtrack features music from the Robert Eggers-directed horror film and is composer Mark Korven’s second collaboration with the director following his score for Eggers’ directorial debut The Witch. Starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, A24’s The Lighthouse made its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and premieres in theaters Friday, October 18 (NY/LA) with expansion to follow.
