New music: Grammy award-winning Swedish trio Deportees release brand new album ‘All Future’ today
The trio from Umeå, a remote city in the far north of Sweden, are possibly this most musical of countries best kept secret. Over five distinctly different albums, Deportees have won plaudits, fans and awards for their constant creativity and reinvention. Their last album, 2015s The Big Sleep was awarded the Swedish Grammy for Best Rock Album, an award the band had also picked up for their previous long-player Islands & Shores.

BABYMETAL RELEASES NEW ALBUM METAL GALAXY
The album, set in the BABYMETAL universe, is about an odyssey the band must take to the METAL GALAXY, a trajectory thrust upon them by the FOX GOD. TERRELL HINES RELEASES ST. MARK RD.
Today, Terrell Hines releases his debut EP on Capitol Records, St. Mark Rd. He’s not only a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with influences as broad as Outkast, Joy Division, Four Tet, and Gullah music, but Hines’ mind isn’t quite like other people’s. It’s no wonder Berklee College of Music gave Hines a full ride, or that people’s first exposure to his vision came during a 2019 Apple keynote — that song, the rip-roaring avant-hoedown “Get Up,” hails from St. Mark Rd. EP, and is a mere peak into the wildness that’s coming.
