Dylan Perkons – “Love Like Mine” – My New Single

“I knew early on that I wanted to work with producer Jonas Bonnetta of the folk group Evening Hymns, and had the distinct privilege of recording at his secluded Port William Sound studio in Mountain Grove, ON. The woods were the perfect backdrop for an album that required – above all else – space. While The Healing Day (out October 18th) is my first solo album, it represents a much longer journey.”

EMILY BREEZE to release interstellar doo wop single ‘Heaven’s Gate’ ahead of London show

The fourth single from Emily Breeze’s debut album Rituals, “Heaven’s Gate” is a glacial slice of Sci-Fi propaganda which was inspired by a documentary about the 90’s Christian U.F.O cult of the same name. Emily says, “I was interested in how a seductive promise of eternal salvation can compel a person to hand over all personal agency to devote themselves entirely to a belief system, especially one as bizarre and deadly as Heaven’s Gate”. Written from the perspective of the cult leader, this is interstellar Doo Wop for all the drifters, loners, dropouts and seekers out there. Emily and her cohorts invite you to join the psychedelic dance, cast off your earthly shells and drink the Kool Aid!

FINLAY REVEALS NEW SINGLE ” DEEP END” // LISTEN HERE

“‘deep end’ is a really special record that came to me after hours of persistent writer’s block. My producer and I had had an exhaustingly full day in the studio; I was weary from marathon sessions and almost ready to give up and call it a night. After taking a beat, we turned all the instruments off and I silently sat in the studio and semi-hopelessly waited for inspiration. It was then in the quietness of the late night that the centric melody came to me, and the story began to unfold. It was clear from the get-go that I was writing someone else’s story…what it really means to meet another human halfway with unbridled vulnerability.”

Tenille Townes’ “Jersey On The Wall” music video debuts today

Of the video, Townes shares, “Leaving space in this video for people to insert their own emotions and think of people in their own stories was so important to me. There’s an anchor of light coming in through the gym window, across the lockers and in the hallways that represents the ever-present hope that is still there, even in the darkest of losses. We were able to use the actual jerseys of Danielle and Drayton, who were both the inspiration behind this song. It was so emotional seeing both of their #9s hanging there during the video shoot and it means so much to have their jerseys be such a big part.”
