BARNS COURTNEY’S NEW ALBUM, ‘404,’ IS OUT TODAY

The title of Barns Courtney’s new album will no doubt be familiar to anyone who’s ever searched for something online and found themselves face to face with nothing. 404 is an album that explores feelings of loss, inspired by life’s habit of throwing up its own error pages. Barns Courtney describes it as “a commentary on my own journey from awestruck naiveté to the dark realization of adulthood.”

FOY VANCE TO MEMPHIS OUT TODAY

Award-winning Northern Irish singer/songwriter Foy Vance has released his new album To Memphis via Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records/Elektra. His second LP of 2019, To Memphis is the companion album to From Muscle Shoals, which was released earlier this summer. To Memphis, which includes the lead tracks “The Strong Hand”, “I Won’t Let You Fall”, “Only The Artist”, “Wind Blows Chloe” and “Malibu Jane”, is available to stream and download starting today.

MELANIE MARTINEZ UNVEILS “K-12”

“K-12” marks Martinez’s long anticipated follow-up to her RIAA platinum certified, 2015 debut album, “CRY BABY.” Produced by Michael Keenan with the exception of one song produced by Kinetics & One Love, the album serves as a soundtrack companion to an eerily enchanting new musical film, written, directed, and starring Martinez. Pollstar Live75 – Great Touring Week for Country Artists

Country music’s impact on this week’s LIVE75 begins with a chart-topping performance by Florida Georgia Line, earning the top ranking with an average of 21,227 sold tickets from six venues on their summer amphitheater tour through U.S. cities. All six sheds drew sellout crowds with the most tickets moved at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Thomas Rhett follows at No. 2, with a ticket average of 19,618 from six shed dates of his own. Rhett’s most successful Boxoffice results came from the Philadelphia market with 24,760 fans present for an Aug. 1 sellout at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J.

New entries by this week’s HOT SHOT artist Chris Stapleton and Luke Bryan give country music two more slots in the Top 5 – Stapleton at No. 4 with a 15,069 sales average from five concerts and Bryan with his own five-show average just 110 seats less. Brad Paisley also makes his debut on the chart at No. 13 with a nine-show average of 11,963.

In their third week on the chart, the Jonas Brothers land at No. 7 as this week’s NOISE MAKER.

Newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Bryan Ferry is the BREAKTHROUGH artist with sold-out shows at all four of his concerts tallied for the chart.

MUNA’S SOPHOMORE ALBUM SAVES THE WORLD IS OUT NOW

Blinded By The Light: Music Video for A.R. Rahman’s “For You My Love”

Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, is premiering a music video for “For You My Love” (a new original song penned by Oscar and Grammy winning composer A.R. Rahman for the “Blinded By The Light” soundtrack) on Friday, September 6.

Directed by Amith Krishnan (who worked on “One Heart: The A.R. Rahman Concert Film”), the “For You My Love” music clip intercuts scenes from “Blinded By The Light” with new footage featuring A.R. Rahman on piano with singers Hriday Gattani (performing English verses) and Parag Chhabra (performing Punjabi verses) alongside choreographed dancers in a dreamy Bollywood setting.
