Painted Young Releases New EP “I’m Not Gonna Wait”

New Jersey-based alternative rock project Painted Young have released their brand new EP, “I’m Not Gonna Wait,” out on all digital music platforms NOW. Originally introduced through the “The Madhouse,” the EP’s lead single, “I’m Not Gonna Wait” is a culmination of hard work, determination, and tenacity. Painted Young’s frontman Chris Santos is filled with a vivacious energy – but that doesn’t take away from his darker layers. Santos spent time carefully crafting this EP after transitioning to a solo project, a move that was not expected, but deemed necessary. Lead single “The Madhouse” digs into the usage of metaphors to express the frustration of being alone in your personal mental health issues, while the remaining EP tracks expand on Painted Young’s sleek combination of pop punk, pop rock, and alternative influences. About “I’m Not Gonna Wait”, Santos states:

This EP is very long overdue, and it feels good to be finally putting new music out there. The songs on this EP are all based on personal experiences I’ve had. Whether the lyrics tend to be more direct (“Want your song? Here you go.”) or more metaphorical (“The Madhouse”), it’s all an extension of myself or something I’ve gone through.
