Renowned guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced today’s premiere of their visceral new single, “Mettavolution,” the latest song form their eagerly awaited new album of the same name. Bay Area proto-metal band Hot Lunch will release its sophomore album, ‘Seconds’, on March 15 via Tee Pee Records. Recorded in full analog at SF’s El Studio (Trans Am, Moon Duo), ‘Seconds’ captures the band’s hot-as-hell on-stage energy and is an ass-kicking tour-de-force that weaponizes Hot Lunch as noisy rock insurrectionists for these molten, modern times. The LP is the follow-up to the band’s 2013 self-titled debut which was hailed as “fuzzed-out fury” by CBS San Francisco and “so classic” by Decibel.

Her former dance teacher, Mr. Savage, and old production design teacher, Jean Francois Revon, recruited amazingly talented students who then contributed to the set’s design and created the video’s entire choreography all within a time span of 3 days. The two young male dancers, Munir and Musa Omar, are also current students of the school.

David Gray To Release New Album ‘Gold In A Brass Age’ March 8

Gold In A Brass Age was produced by Ben DeVries. The album’s title is drawn from Raymond Carver’s short story Blackbird Pie, and informed by the regenerative cut of Gray’s adopted home of London, and a fascination with the natural world. The album’s striking artwork – for which Gray approached Peckham-based tattoo artist, Londonboy Tattooer, depicts an Emperor moth with the City of London captured between its wingspan. Londonboy did the striking artwork designs for all 11 tracks on the album.

Brooklyn-based indie rock band, The Next Great American Novelist (aka NGAN), share their new single and video, “Blackberry,” from their forthcoming record, Careless Moon. The band is often recognized by fans of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” because their song “Wicked” was featured in Season 8. The Deli NYC calls it a “nerd rock-inflected song” and compares NGAN to both Queen and Weezer.

The Cranberries Release Animated Music Video For “All Over Now”

“We thought animation was the way to go,” guitarist Noel Hogan tells Gary Graff from Billboard in an interview. The storybook-like visuals were the product of a collaboration with illustrator Tom Clohosy Cole (who created the backgrounds), and partly inspired by Eric Ravilious’ landscapes of the English countryside, which Dan describes as, “beautiful but stark and criss-crossed by barbed wire and the signs of human activity.” Rather unique colouring techniques using paper textures and watercolour brushes run through the flat animation giving the video a hand crafted feel.
