DRE@M VACA$ION by Dan Rico

Dan Rico is a Brooklyn, NY based songwriter, producer, singer, and guitarist. He writes gritty, doo-wop tinged love songs about the end of the world. Since 2015 he has released two full length albums “Endless Love,” and “DREAMY,” along with several singles and EP’s. In 2018 he decided to quit traditional rock music in search of something new and moved out to New York from his hometown of Chicago. Boldly blending influences from a myriad of music crusaders- Sly and the Family Stone to Sonic Youth- Rico’s songs manage to be both fresh and gritty; elegant and jarring. If the Backstreet Boys took ecstasy and spent a month in a basement writing poetry and playing dice, they might land somewhere close to Dan Rico’s new record, “BA$EMENT P0P”.

With this new album, Audet continues to create music that is at once warm, haunting, and unfamiliar while remaining singularly inviting and kind—a mélange that reflects both comfort and its counterpart.

Ulrik Denizou Lund tells, Billboard, “’Fast Lovers’” is about people’s sort of hang-up about being happy right now, and the idea that happiness is immediate and the sort of feeling that whenever you’re slightly sad, you have to prop yourself up and give yourself an adrenaline shot of happiness. That feels like the sort of thing that we had in mind when we made ‘Fast Lovers’: That idea of having to quickly be happy, and confusing that with being actually happy which is more of a long-term thing – as the Dalai Lama said at some point,” he adds with a laugh.”

New release: US Indie Pop band Chateau Chateau – Driving In Circles (single)

Chateau Chateau was birthed from the desert flora and jagged hills of Tucson, Arizona in the beginning of 2018. The formation of the seven band members began in the cold, dark caverns of an aerospace hanger with nothing but an audience of semi-casual and passerby dunkards making their way to the next door brewhouse. In the following months of springtime the band began forming their sound. What was once a loose, rocky, garage-pop four-piece would eventually become a blooming, bouncy, glittery troupe of seven with an equally tightened and raw sound.
