300 Entertainment teams up with Robert Schwartzman of Rooney to Curate “The Unicorn” Soundtrack / Releases Exclusive Track With Phony Ppl “1-2-3″  

300 Entertainment is proud to announce its involvement in curating the soundtrack for the feature film “The Unicorn.” The music curation was a joint effort between Rooney frontman/director Robert Schwartzman and rising industry star A&R Allyson Coff of 300 Entertainment. 300 Entertainment will release the soundtrack on Friday, March 8th. “The Unicorn,” is a quirky and charming tale about love and pushing boundaries starring Lauren Lapkus, Nick Rutherford, Lucy Hale, Beck Bennett, Dree Hemingway, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Maya Kazan, John Kapelos, Beverly D’Angelo and Kyle Mooney, and more. The soundtrack features two songs recorded exclusively for the movie; “Time and Time Again” by Rooney and a special collaboration between Rooney and Phony Ppl for a feel-good cover of Len Barry’s 1965 hit “1-2-3” – Out TODAY.

Ella Fitzgerald’s Long Lost Live Album “Ella At The Shrine” Available Today After More Than 60 Years

Recorded live at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on January 21, 1956, Ella At The Shrine captures Ella Fitzgerald at the beginning of her career renaissance, just weeks after becoming the first signing to Norman Granz’s newly-created Verve Records. The brief but thrilling set, which was part of Granz’s historic Jazz At The Philharmonic concert series, was only recently discovered after more than 60 years of languishing in Verve’s vaults. Thought to be Verve’s first live recording, Ella At The Shrine is available today via Verve/UMe as a single LP on standard weight black vinyl. It will be available for digital download and streaming for the first time next Friday, March 1. This wide release follows a limited edition yellow vinyl version released in November 2018 as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday. Order Ella At The Shrine now.

Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) presents its 19th annual Epic Event on Wednesday, March 6 at The Sinclair, showcasing artists chosen by students in the program to perform at some of the country’s most popular summer festivals. BPMI takes students from the classroom to the stage, providing an immersive experience in every aspect of artist development and touring – important preparation for a career in performance and in the music industry.

This year’s BPMI artists – students and alumni Jackie Foster, Jobi, Roy Juno, MKULTRA, Goldspace with Trey Kams, and Alx, spanning pop, rock, Americana, hip-hop, electro-pop, and R&B – will have the opportunity to appear on the main stages at The Governors Ball, Essence Festival, Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Outside Lands, and Country LakeShake.

SPIRITS OF FIRE Self-Titled Debut Out Now on Frontiers Music Srl

Today sees the release of the self-titled debut from SPIRITS OF FIRE on Frontiers Music Srl.

Following an intense brainstorming session at Frontiers HQ, a dream team of renowned metal musicians including Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Death, etc.) and Mark Zonder (ex-Fates Warning, Warlord) was put together under the direction of renowned LA-based producer Roy Z. (Bruce Dickinson, Halford, Tribe Of Gypsies). Called SPIRITS OF FIRE (after the title of one of their songs), the music can best be described as “classic Priest meets Savatage”. Alessandro Del Vecchio is also featured on keyboards on the album.
